Complete dump and embarrassing course
The course was a dump and the carts felt like the steering was loose, and the grass was long. The fairways,....wait.....what fairways....there wasnt any! Dont get me started on the greens. This was the absolute worse course ive ever played in my 22 yrs of golf. Not even kidding! I literally played 4 holes and left. I didnt even ask for a refund since i figure they needed money to pay the nice lady who was planting seed and showing some initiative in making the course better since no one else had pride in that course. And it showed. I left and went to delavega and played a beautiful course....for the same price. Please for the love of golf, if your read this, they have 300 yard par 5s, terrible greens with stuff and branches all over them. They dont even sweep them off (previous statement to prove no pride in their course). Not to mention, the cart paths are about the same age as their carts (worn beyond worn). My cart had an annoying squeal to it. I will never be back and i suggeest this course to NO ONE! Not even worth 10 bucks a round.
Great hidden little gem
This little hidden gem in the mountains offers some great golf and has some challenging holes. You can’t go wrong by playing this course.
Fairway grass
The fariways need to be cut
We lov this course so fun and laid back
We have to be lookiing for our ball in deep grass 5-10 feet in front of the green
Beautiful course among the Redwoods
This is the best shape the course has been in since it’s heydays in the 1970’s. It is fully recovered from the CZU fire, although only the front nine is open for play.
Boulder creek
The course was in the best shape in many years. I wish it was 18 holes! Nice and warm up there. It is a narrow course on some holes which helps me sharpen up my game. It’s a super great value for the $!
Nice Short course but difficult to get there
Very winding road to get there on Bear Creek road. Should take alternative route but much longer. Many road sections under construction. No sign to display the hole number and yardage.
Fairways could be improved. Do not plan to golf here again.
9 holes in the Redwoods!
The course is beautiful placed in the redwoods! Been playing here for years love it. But the fairways are way to thick. Groom your fairways, on Friday’s! for us weekend Warriors we pay the weekend premium. You’re only doing 9 holes now, down from your 18. Please mow. Would definitely recommend this course though love it just don’t like the thick stuff in my fairways. But the grass is green and nice and the redwoods tall balls don’t go through the tree though. Can be a bit narrow. But it’s a fun challenging 9. I’ll be there next weekend!
Good Value
Good value, simple and fun 9. Great pace of play.
Conditions are a bit rough following some storms.
If you play here after the rain, be careful as it doesn’t drain well and can be flooded and muddy in many spots days after the last rain.
Great Pace, Needs some TLC
Drainage needs a big upgrade, hasn't rained in over a week and still a lot of mud and soft areas.
Great value, fun little course, wonderfully quick pace.
Great beginner course, best value in town
Great courses for those just getting familiar with the game.
Short but good layout.
Variation enough for a decent challenge, quick, afternoon 9 holes.
I am the golf shop manager at Boulder Creek. This person would have been issued a refund if he had returned to the pro shop. This review was posted in January during which we received 50" of rain. He was told the conditions before he paid and could have opted out. As far as his description of the course, yes it was virtually unmowable in January which (as noted above) was explained to him before he paid. We do not have 300 yard par 5's. The shortest par 5 is 410 yards. This is a par 65 executive course that measures 4396 yards. One should not expect 500 yard par 5's on an executive golf course.
