Go Play LPGA! Photo submitted by oakleyduff on 06/26/2013
Great course
Great course, I would definitely play here again. Greens were great tee boxes were good overall course was in good condition.
Great golf facility
If you’re looking to practice and play, the LPGA int’l courses will satisfy all your golf needs.
Tough Greens, good course
Course in good shape, pace was great. However, if you don’t have the swing speed to spin the ball back, you will hate these greens. They didn’t hold anything. Made for a tough day of golf.
Okay to Play
No beverage cart, traps washed out and greens okay.
LPGA Hills
Course conditions on the Hill 18 were okay considering it is March. Greens putted true but mostly flat and not much break except on back 9. It was breezy so mostly a challenge never plating here before today. Range and practice area are good. Carts were great, newer and had a GPS that was reliable on them.
The course is wide so not much difficulty off the tee. Played it at about 6200 yards and it was good, most par 4's played under 400 yards and are reachable in 2. Really disappointed with 18th hole which would require a 280 yard drive down right side to see the green and still be 150 out for the second shot to the green. The green is not visible from the tee and is a 90 degree dog leg to the left, elevated some and small. I hit in middle of the fairway and still had no second shot for an approach as was blocked out by the trees. Strange hole considering all rest of the course was fairly straight with some slight dog legs on a couple of the par 5's.
No info from starter that halfway house was closed and no beverage carts on the course which was surprising because it was fairly busy the day I played. The pro shop did not share this either so take water/ beverage or you will be thirsty if it is a warm day like the one we played. I would have liked to have been told but did not ask, don't assume like I did!
Overall an average experience, I guess my expectations were too high.
SLOW Play
NO ranger , extremely slow play. Front 9 took 2 1/2 hrs. Sand traps were embarrassing for a club of this caliber. Fairways and greens were in Great condition.
All the nature is gone
I play The hills course for the first time in about 5 years the best thing about the hills course it was all natural beautiful force a lot of wild animals now it's nothing but houses everywhere you look there's a house it's horrible they ruined it I won't play it again and I don't recommend anybody to play it
Stang
First time playing this course and greatly enjoyed it but the pace of play on the second nine was brutally slow. Had an issue with the golf cart shutting down when to close to the green an wouldn’t back out and had to push it up a hill to get back into play area where it would go again. Talked to staff and it’s a known problem but hasn’t been fixed. Took 4 hours and 15 minutes to play 18 so make sure to get an early tee time if you’re going to play 18.
Excellent Course
The Hills course played really well. Plenty of strategy involved taking advantage of the holes. Not a long course, but player friendly. Will be on my list for awhile.
