Great, but...
The golf course was in great condition and a nice layout and the weather was perfect, 94 degrees. The overall course layout isn't that difficult, but there are some holes that play tricky depending on the tees you play, like 5 with the trench stretching across the fairway close to your landing area.
The only complaint I have, and it's important, is the tee box on 17.
I play from the back tees, and from the Black tee box on 17 the fairway was half obscured by a large bush that was literally 10 yards in front of the tee box, not to mention there is a home 6-feet to the right of the tee box.
I have a hard time fading or slicing the ball, which this shot required. I usually either hit the ball straight or with a slight draw.
The management needs to pay more attention to all the tee boxes, even the black tees for the few of us who still play them. I was barely able to snake my drive past it and keep it in the fairway. I was lucky enough to par the hole, but it shouldn't be this hard just to get off the tee.
If you only hook the ball, you would have absolutely no shot on the 17th black tee.
But otherwise, the course was a nice layout and in good condition.
Amazing Layout
It was a great experience from the bag drop to the 19th hole. The course design was challenging and fun to play. I’m definitely coming back
good to great condition.
Really enjoyed the course and staff. I feel the course was in healthy condition. South course greens were fast. Beautiful course laid in the boulders with nice amount of traps
Challenging & Scenic But…
Played the south course, was on our bucket list. The layout will make you play target golf to particular spot for your approach into the green, some blind shots. The courses is in good shape, but has fast and firm fairways with rock hard greens that will reject good shots which is frustrating. Adding to the frustration is poana in the greens. These were the worst greens we’ve played on all month, Might be back if they address the green issues. For the money there are much better options in the area.
AMAZING 🔥🔥🔥
One of the hardest and most beautiful 18 holes if players, but definitely opportunity to challenge myself and my game. Service team was awesome and we felt welcomed throughout the round. We have stayed at The Boulders before( many times), and had never played this course. I am so thankful for the opportunity to do so. Looking forward to coming back here soon and beating my previous score.👍😎⛳
AMAZING 🔥
I have stayed at this resort many time, but never have got to play the course. This course is pristine and challenging. There are many great par 3's and par 4's. Fairways look narrow, but open up. We loved it and look forward to beating my score next time.
Boulders South is a great challenge
I enjoyed the design of the course. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. The greens rolled well and were fast but too firm. The south course has several long walks to the next tee box. Everyone at the club was gratious and helpful.
Very nice course
Course has a very nice layout., but it is difficult with the rough down. Balls can. Easily runoff into the desert.
The fairways and tee boxes were very nice. The greens rolled well but were very very firm. Tough to hit a ball close .
This is a scenic course.it is walkable but there are 4 or 5 long walks to the next tee box.
Terrible course conditions
Terrible course conditions for the price. Greens are terrible. Charging those prices based on name and location. Would recommend playing elsewhere.
Recent course changes
Visitors are no longer allowed to play the North course. This was not clear at all until you get there. The Morth course is longer and allows more driver use. Not ideal but the South course was still beautiful and challenging
Boulders South - Beautiful and Challenging
The Boulders South course offers a fair challenging experience with significant ambience. The views and boulder formations are outstanding. The conditioning is great. On the expensive side, but a worthy golfing experience.
Good course layout but didn't enjoy due to poor pace of play
Played the South course. The layout and conditions were good. Navigating the tee boxes for a first-timer is challenging. Pace of play was horrendous. We had a 5hr 25min round. Just painful. Didn't enjoy the round as I should have after paying $195.
