Played the course on recommendation of friends. We booked the round a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, the weather turned chilly and windy the day we played and it rained the night and early morning before our round. The course was wet in a few spots, but was in good condition. Only complaint was the speed of the greens because they were quite slow and bumpy. Fairways were excellent as were the tee boxes. The course is not worth the rack rate for us, but for the discounted rate it is a fair price. Parking is somewhat of issue if you expect to park close to the clubhouse, as there are condos in the immediate area, plus restaurant. There is a bag drop, so we used that for the clubs. Course is very friendly for the up tees (4464) yards and only a few short forced carries. I played the blue tees (6016 yds). We were paired with two members, so that was a huge help in local course knowledge.

I was out in the Phoenix area for work then a little RnR. A friend of mine from the Las Vegas area suggested I play Rancho Mañana. I am glad I did. Don't let the yardage fool you. Its a Great Layout. The staff could not have been any friendlier. They paired me with a member and his friend. It was great having someone with course knowledge. I wish I lived closer so I could play this course more often. ALSO, they have a Great practice area, so get there early and take advantage of it. I look very forward to making Rancho Mañana my "new" course when I am in the Phoenix area. If you are in Scottsdale, its WELL worth the drive. The scenery and views are so worth it.

Heard about Rancho Mañana from playing partners on other Phoenix courses. Have played 10 or so courses in area, and this is up there with the best. Very good and interesting layout, in foothills rather than the plain. Lot's of up and down and doglegs. Great condition. Very interesting and fun. Quick round, 3 1/2 hours for three ball. Reminds me of Strathpeffer in Scotland, with desert and snakes off the fairways, rather than forrest and rabbits. Great restaurant with good buzz about it. Something different and well worth a visit.

Highest priced course we played all week, even booking through golfnow.com. 6000 yds from the blues, and no need to take your driver out of the car. Course is tricked up - lots of blind shots, uneven lies and mystery trash that you don' t see ahead of time because carts don't have GPS. Very likely we'll pass on ever making that long drive north again.

I'm not a golfer but my son is, and he suggested Rancho Manana because it's close to where I live. I watch golf a lot and I haven't seen many courses that are prettier than Rancho Manana. The desert beauty and surrounding mountains are breathtaking. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and we had a wonderful experience. We had dinner at the Tonto Grill afterwards and the atmosphere and food were excellent. I highly recommend both!

Played Rancho Manana for the second time and found the course to be in good condition. The greens could have been cut . The only disappointment is the warm up facilities prior to playing They could use some work and they are crowded. Would recommend this course.
