Course had several holes under aeration. Lots of dirt plugs all over the fairways. There should have been a warning about this at the time of booking.

It's disappointing when a course does not take this responsibility seriously.

This course is a gem and the staff there are extremely friendly which probably goes back to their Canadian roots.

The only issue we had was the lack of information on the course to help non-regular players with course layout. Signage or scorecard diagrams would help.

We've been to Phoenix for the past nine years and have played this course four or five times. It's definitely a course worth playing. Interesting layout and a difficult course, requires good shot making and strategy from the tee. Fair course, provided you select the right tees (group ahead of us was playing from the tips and had no business doing so). Good value for the money too at $60 on a Sunday. Highly recommended.

What a place! Gorgeous scenery, great hole layouts, nice practice facilities, great staff...all around a destination course. Challenging, but fair.

The greens rolled perfect. The five tee boxes helped everyone. The rabbits were all over the place! The quail, some hawks, road runners, and prairie dogs made it a fun nature day.

Electric golf carts! And that all I'm going to say about that.

Rarely saw anyone else on the course, a testament to its spread-out design. There were times we had to wait, but I strongly suspect that was a weakness of the golfers ahead of us, not a fault of the course. Here's a thought...don't play from the tips if you can't hit the ball more than 150 yards, and straight, with your driver. You're not helping yourself, and you're not helping those behind you.

Greens were in great shape. Held the long approach shots and rolled true. I wonder what they read on the stimp meter, because they were fast.

It seems each hole had its own character, with little or no repetition. And each had its own challenge somewhere.

I can't speak to the whole dining experience. We just grabbed a hot dog at the turn which was pretty darn good, but too expensive.

The staff, as a whole, seemed to welcome us.

We played in May and the price was reasonable. I suspect it will be less expensive as the heat rolls in. But I'm not sure I could afford to play here during the peak season. But even so, this is a course that's worth paying upward of $120 to play. It's that nice.

The day was a little windy but generally nice. I'd never played the course because it's expensive and about 40 miles from me. However, it's a great course, wide fairways, challenging, in perfect condition, friendly and helpful staff (specially the Ranger), and the pace of play was steady.

Golfed with 3 great guys who were both nice, fun, and real gentlemen. It was a pleasure.

This course reminded me of Tobacco Road in Sandhills, NC only as a desert version. I shot an 88 and lost 3 balls - about average for me on score. Losing balls was a combination of difficulty and not really looking in the desert.

I carried a camera in my pocket and took a picture of nearly every hole. The course was immaculate. I went out early and finished in 2.5 hours.

Very nice course and challenging desert layout. Have played many times. The course is a good valkey course but the pace of play was atrocious, 5:50 hours. They pack too many golfers and a juniors outing on a busy Sunday , even the marshalls were very frustrated. Bad customer experience

I'm a long time customer(8 years) , noticed a decline in service last year . Thought it was just a bad year.

Slow play is unacceptable , course marshals don't care and do nothing about slow play .

I was told to "have a beer in the club house and get over it".

Our cart ran out of power , when I called to have another brought out to us it never showed up until I called a second time .

By then we had 3 holes left .and he finally showed up . I don't recommend this course any longer and with 400 golf courses in The Phoenix area . You have other choices make this one your last. Too bad it was my favourite course when I was in Phoenix .

We arrived an hour before our T time. Our start time was on time. We were paired with a man and women who were good golfers. We were told at the beginning of the round, any slow play would not be tolerated. Well we had a great start and a great first hole. After the first hole, we waited on every T box and we waited on every fairway for the rest of the 17 holes. The course was not crowded, but it took us 5 hour to complete. Will not go back.

Play with someone who has been there before! Even with the book/map it is difficult to know where to drive the ball and where the unseen trouble lies on a number of holes, there is lots of sand. And the rest of it is pretty darn challenging also. It was in good shape all the way around and I'd play it again tomorrow.
