Longbow Golf Club
About
The Longbow Golf Club offers 18 holes of par-72 golf that measures 7,003 yards from the Tips tees.
A round of golf at the Longbow Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 451 yards from the tips. The back nine kicks off on the monstrous 10th hole, a par 5 that comes in at 626 yards from the tips. The round of golf ends up a bit easier, with only 474 yards separating the tips tee from the hole, a distance that the golf club recommends golfers clear in four strokes.
Longbow Golf Club offers SoloRider golf carts, allowing golfers with disabilities the chance to get around the golf course, as the carts are able to drive right on the greens without causing any damage.

Avoid a 5 hour round!
Good course but poor admin/play management. It took us nearly 5 hours to complete the round, waited on every shot and on every hole. It was evident that one group was causing havoc for the rest of the field. We reported this to Longbow management during our play, to no avail. I would recommend you do NOT play this course until Longbow guarantee improved pace of play management. On completion of play I complained to the pro shop staff, it was like talking to a brick wall, completely none responsive and could care less.
Yeah? No
Heck of a layout. If the course is conditioned to accept a good shot it is fine. Today. Baked greens patchy fairways and inconsistent fluffy bunkers. Hard and fast. Bring your best game cause anything heading off the fairway is an easy bogey.
Better Courses in the Area
The course made me late on my morning tee time by making me ask for the cart key twice. I ran into maintenance guys 3 times that I had to wait clear the green. If you need to do maintenance then don’t open tee times earlier then the work. Dry fairways. Overall better courses in Mesa than this.
PLEASE READ, AND STAY FAR
Our recent experience me and an a colleague had at the Longbow Golf Club. On Sunday, May 5th, we booked the 6:30 am tee time for the back 9 early morning option. This was just a quick game before our church service at 10 am. There were only 2 of us playing in this round. Our cart gps had indicated that we were 3 minutes behind pace. At this time, we were on 14. While in the fairway, hitting our second shot, a ball had fallen directly 5 feet to the left of us. The group behind us had caught up and shot while we were only approximately 200 yards from the tee box. This was very concerning, and as you know, something is very frowned upon on the golf course. The ranger at the time was right there when it had happened. We had voiced frustration to the ranger on what had just occurred and he had agreed and went back to speak with them. After speaking with the party behind us, the ranger returned to us to let us know to just keep up with the pace and try and close the 3 minutes we were behind. We agreed and appreciated him for communicating with the other group. As we were speaking, yet another ball lander directly next to the ranger and almost directly struck him. We continued to the next hole and figured since the ranger had witnessed this occurance, there would be some understanding of what was going on with the group behind us. As we teed off the next hole, we were approached by Jeffrey Anti (Director of Golf). He had asked us what was going on. We had explained what had previously just occurred and what his ranger had witnessed. His response to this was that our story and the group behind us story were conflicting. I had stressed to him the safety concern of not only us as patrons but his staff as well. He became very agitated after me voicing my concerns on the players'behavior and course etiquette ,nd those types of individuals can be a huge liability to players and courses. His response to this, "follow me to the clubhouse, you guys don't need to play here anymore since it's a liability."
Me and my colleague were both completely flabbergasted from his response and agreed immediately since it was evident that he had complete disregard for players safety on this course. When arriving to the clubhouse and reiterating our concerns on safety, he stared his concern is not about safety it is about the pace of play. I had asked him to please bring the ranger back to the club house to discuss what had happened and what he had witnessed so we could discuss the safety concerns we had and he refused to do so.
This experience was extremely disconcerning and the course staff seemed to have complete disregard for player safety, customer satisfaction, and respect toward their customers.
Longbow
Great staff and course. A fine course and should be played. Marshal Don’s the man with all the insights.
This is an exceptional course and we enjoyed it. Too bad we had to deal with 30 mph winds.
Hidden Gem
A great surprise. Both 9 are laid out different from one another. We found the back nine a bit more challenging.
Course in great condition!
Always a Treat
Had an afternoon tee time. Pace of play got us around in four hours 15 minutes. Longer than I like, but acceptable. Gave us time to visit in between shots. The tee boxes and fairways were exceptional. Greens had good grass, were a good winter speed. They were a little hard, so after going long on hole 1, adjusted approach shots to the hardness. The exceptional course conditions are why I am willing to pay the higher price to play Long Bow. We received practice ball bag with 20 balls. Perfect for warm up. Also, something you don’t always see, was the practice putting green was a similar pace to the greens on the course. Staff were courteous and welcoming. I would recommend this course, and will play again.
Good but problems
overall the course was very good.
what wrecked the round was very poor pace of play in the back nine. we had 2 tee time groups waiting on many tee boxes of the back nine.
no marshall came out even after we called the pro shop.
if the pace is good for half of it then there is a problem somewhere on the slow half that should be looked into and fixed. it never was.
too bad. made me question how badly i would come back.
Nice Mesa Desert Course
This was my first time playing Longbow. I enjoyed the excellent course condition, but could have benefited from having gps in carts to know best landing areas. Pace of play was good at 4 hours, 20 min. The staff was very friendly. Nice that a small warmup bag of balls was included in rate.
