Kino Springs. An interesting course.
Nice challenging layout. Accuracy off the tee from hole 5 thru 13 are a must. Validated by the warning sign that indicates if you enter, abandon all hope. Once you know the angles, it’s a course you can enjoy.
Most unfortunate that they don’t have a restaurant because there isn’t much near it. Pro shop and beverage cart staff were very polite and accommodating.
kino springs is great
this is one of the best courses for your dollar in southern Arizona- it is a mix of old style holes and challenging holes in the canyons along the Mexican border. its fun and makes a nice day trip from Tucson
Great layout
This course has many blind shots and is very fun to play
Good time.
The course was in pretty good shape. I’ve seen it much worse in the dry part of the summer.
Very Good Layout average condition.
Very nice layout, challenging but not too difficult. Condition of course was O.K. but not great. Course lacks the quantity of water needed to improve condition.
Enjoyable day.
A Gem in the Desert
Was staying in nearby Patagonia, AZ and was certain I would have to drive to Green Valley to find a decent golf course. Was pleasantly surprised to find Kino Springs a short drive away. Was greeted by Keith and given a cart and shown the practice facilities. Was teamed with another singleton player of similar skills and we had a great afternoon. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. I found the greens speed and slope to be challenging. Price with a cart at $33 was very good. Even found a few souvenir deals in the pro shop. Just need to get the grill back open.
Kino Springs is well worth playing...!!!
The course continues to be in very good shape with tee boxes and fairways being very green and playable. The greens are firm and rolling well and quick. I would say that golfers should do better in repairing ball marks on the greens. Otherwise I highly recommend playing Kino Springs before the summer arrives and drys out the course.
Beautiful area and a nice course
We play here a couple times each year and enjoy it very much. The staff is always very friendly and the course is always in pretty good condition.. The greens were just rolled when we played and not quite as nice as usual.. Indentations from this process made your ball jump at times. Overall the course was in good condition other then the sand traps need work.. Most were pretty hard and need a rake run through them at least every other day.. Would definitely recommend playing here though.. Expect some wind here for sure..
A good challenge in southern Arizona
Kino Springs is a challenge, especially with the the wind we had. First 5 holes are pretty plan and ordinary and then the fun begins. Lots of elevation changes, tough doglegs and small greens.
Course was in good shape.Fairway grass was think and greens were very firm and rolled true. Would not hold a wedge shot so lots of bump and runs.
Local course knowledge is a big advantage. The layout is deceiving for a first time player.
Looking forward to playing Kino again soon.
Greens in good condition hard and fast. Fairways were wide and green. Not a flat course. Cart paths in bad shape.
Fairways in the best condition I’v seen in the last 5 years. Greens were firm, but the ball rolled very smoothly and true b
Best Condition Ever
Having played Kino Springs for several years, yesterday's course condition was the best I've seen. Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition and well maintained. The greens were in good condition, fast and firm, making holding incoming shots proving to be a challenge. The only issue noted was slow play by groups ahead of our group, which was frustrating at times. In any case KIno is well worth playing and enjoying in its current condition.
Fun course!
Fairways were great, greens were fast, but just a little thin. Ball rolled true.
I have played this course a number of times over the years and it has always been a fun day!
great course
Friendly staff and beautiful course had a great time
Signed up for the wrong day
I was supposed to play yesterday but I thought I signed up for next Tuesday so I never made my teatime
Kino Springs
Considering the dry spell we have had in southern Arizona, and particularly the Nogales area. The Kino Springs golf course was overall in great shape. The greens were lightning fast, with some nasty pin placements throw in for go measure. Unfortunately the wind picked up later in the day which is common for the area. Overall the mountainous scenery is breathtaking and makes playing or loosing a ball or two more easy to take.
Love it there. My favorite golf course.
A good friend of mine took me there many years ago. I loved it then and I still love it.
It is so relaxing and the scenery there is spectacular.
The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home.
