Coyote Lakes Golf Club
About
Located in the west valley, the golf course at Coyote Lakes Golf Club combines a desert landscape and traditional design with scenic views of the White Tank and Bradshaw Mountains. Although it is modest in length and suitable for all players, the course is still an enjoyable challenge for even advanced golfers. The front nine is more difficult than the back nine with large greens and several contours. The back nine is also challenging though with several notable holes. The fairways are undulating on both and water hazards come into play on several holes. Coyote Lakes Golf Club's signature hole is the 14th, a par-3 hole that requires a shot from an elevated tee to a green that is well protected by two sand bunkers and a lake to the left.

Great Service
From the moment you get there, the welcome mat is out. A couple of guys to grab our clubs and load them up. Checked in and staff there advised us we could get out early. After hitting a few range balls, the kind that don’t go far, we were on the first tee. The course is in good shape. Some holes have a lot of sidehill roll. You need to aim on the high side. Good for all levels of golfers. Very scenic hole 14th par 3. Recommend this course.
They always treat you great
I love this course and play it every time I visit Phoenix. The staff there is wonderful, friendly. Unload your car, load it up, clean your clubs, treat you like a real private course. The course looks to the eye far narrower than it plays (at least for me), and course knowledge does help for sure. Glad I played with a local first time. Other courses in and around Phoenix charge a lot more for less. GPS in carts, greens were great, and conditions of fairways and tee boxes all well cared for.
Teeoff-markers need care
Excellent course.
The only complain is that teeoff-markers are chaotic and hard to distinguish between black, blue, etc.
Otherwise 5 stars
1st Time Playing - Nice Course
First time playing Coyote Lakes and we truly enjoyed the course. Lay out is wonderful with lots of ups and downs and sidehills making it challenging but not crazy. Greens were fast but receptive with lots of nuance. Course was in wonderful condition and staff was excellent. Very happy we found this place and shall be returning.
Fun Surprise in Surprise
The course was in great shape and we found the rolling fairways fun and challenging. The greens were fair and not too tricky. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. It was a good value and we will definitely return.
Challenging Greens
The course was in EXCELLENT condition. We arrived early for our 07:56 Tee Time but were told it was wide open and could go right out - so we did. The greens and many fairways have lots of undulations and elevation changes providing the relatively short course with more than ample defense. Local/prior knowledge would have been extremely helpful. Finished in a little over 3 hours. We'll definitely be back again.
Good value.
I play mostly in California. The prices have spiked since 2020, and not because of COVID. So Coyote was a great value considering. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The course was in very nice shape. The greens were firm and fast. The fairways were tight in spots, but forgiving. If you get the chance to play before the mercury rises, I would recommend you do so.
Coyote Lakes slow slow play on a Sunday
I would not play ever again on a Sunday teamed us up with two men the one never played golf before they quit us and joined the other 2 foursomes behind us so made course even slower played back first got to the. Second hole on the front and there were 4 foursomes waiting to tee with one of the foursomes playing with 6 golfers
We turned around and came home
Very disappointing they need a ranger to continue to watch teams who play 6 and speed up slow play hitting 5 balls off the tee is unacceptable
Good conditions
Course conditions were great, no complaints. Fairways were plush but the ball rolled out. Greens had no problem areas and rolled quick once the morning dew dried off. Overseeded rough instead of dormant Bermuda. Probably the best conditions now at this course all winter. Maintenance staff has been doing a great job despite how much play and cart traffic this course gets. Rack rate is high for this course and location but fair with their SwingFirst discount card.
Infants on Course
The group in front of us was allowed to bring an extra cart with a mother and infant riding. There are not enough good golfers and a lot of parallel holes on this course to make me feel like this is safe. The mom proceeded to let the infant run free on the course while her family golfed.
This should not have been allowed
Nice course
I enjoyed Coyote Lakes very much. Originally I chose it for its closeness to the ball field in surprise but would definitely go back, baseball or not.
Good bang for the buck. Staff very helpful. Restaurant and cart help
A great golf outing.
The course was challenging but I had fun. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I'd play this course again.
Fun course
Fun layout. Interesting and challenging layout. Fairways, greens, tees, rough, all in great shape. Bunkers a bit too firm. Pace ok for an afternoon round. Played in 4:05.
