North Golf Course at Granite Falls Golf Club
About
The North Course is one of two courses at Granite Falls Golf Club, the other naturally being the South Course. The North Course was built on a rolling, hilly terrain with stately trees and abundant shrubbery. Although the fairways are quite generous, they are undulating and surrounded by sand traps. There is also extensive mounding and bunkering, both grass and sand, to provide more challenge. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Many holes have beautiful mountain backdrops, creating a scenic environment for the game. The course has four sets of tees, making it accessible to all skill levels. Granite Falls Golf Club, in addition to the two golf courses, also features a grass driving range with target areas, two putting greens, and a short game area with a practice bunker.

Misleading
Granite Falls has two courses. Both are priced the same on Golfnow @ $130. When we checked in for our round, the proshop told us that they did not oversee the North course this year and the course conditions were "poor" and wanted to know if we still wanted to golf there (but no openings were available on the south course). Sunday morning in Phoenix, no other option to go to another course, so we played the course.
My heartburn is that they still charge the full price and do not disclose the course condition on Golfnow....so we really had no other option once you get to the course.
Just overall poor communication and pricing. I've play both courses several times and there have been no differences in course conditions between the two course until this year.
They just need to disclose the conditions and price the two course differently until the North is up to their standards.
I feel like they mislead the public.
Fairways very thin with burned out areas, igreens did not hold well, if you missed the green, the apron areas were the same.. this review if for the North course, can’t see the South being muck better..
Played here for 20 years
One of my favorite tracks of the 4 del Webb courses in sun city grand… absolute horrid conditions this season, they should be ashamed & emberrassed the quality of the fairways and greens. Should be 1/2 off the other courses in the community.
greens under repair
Made a tee time on golf now, and when I got to the course , I was told the greens are under repair. I couldn't cancel the tee time since it was under 24 hrs. I called golf now and had to wait over 2hrs for a call back.
I told them they should disclose that information on the web site . So I wasted 35min drive to get there and be disappointed. The course was very nice and gave me a free large bucket of balls for the range.. Golf now said they would credit me back , so the wait begins.
always in great condition
I like to play courses that always maintain perfectly. The few times I played, they were great each time.
Very Disappointed
First time to play Granite Falls North course. Very disappointed with complete experience. The course conditions were "much to be desired". There were many course maintenance workers on the last few holes and they would not stop or get of the way. If the course is doing this much prep work for overseeding.....you should just shut down the course and/or charge fees accordingly. We were recommended to try Granite Falls........overall pretty disappointed.
Good condition
I really like the course overall. The cost is reasonable and the course condition is very good. The rough I will say is quite penalizing. It is narley Bermuda and even at the usual height is difficult to get out of. It's hard to even advance the ball. It definitely penalizes the golfer if you don't hit the fairway. Overall I give a 4 star rating for this course.
Great course and will definitely play it again. Need to have a beverage cart on the course or at least a lot more availability of water.
