Indigo Lakes Golf Outing
Fairways were a little wet. Greens not in great shape. Could use yardage markers in some of the fairways.
Dog Track!
Surly pro shop interaction. Tees are basically dirt, very little grass. Greens have bare spots and spots of an invasive weed scattered about. Also no water to drink. There was a water fountain on the front nine but apparently It was WWII casualty.
I played on 3/27/18 and can’t quite understand how the more recent reviewers could give it an average 3.5 review. They must have been on a different course than I.
It’s your dollar. I recommend you vote with your feet.
Very good layout
First off all.. after reading all the poor reviews I was reluctant to even play Indiego Lakes.
Not only is it a great layout, the course was in decent shape. Greens weren’t bad. The hurricane closed the place down for 3 months and basically killed the greens . I ran into a number of employees WORKING on the course. Haven’t seen that much around Daytona Beach. The greens were slow and bad in spots but ran true. Very playable.
Do yourself a favor and play a very good layout at a decent price.
Kudos to Indiego Lakes and the course superintendent
Great layout
I love this course. The layout the fairways the greens were great. I'm just sorry Indigo is doing away with Golf Now. I book all my tee times with Golf Now. I hope Indigo keeps their prices reasonable.
Greens reseeded
Greens have been over seeded. They putt true but slow. Course seems to be in good shape overall. These little changes keep me coming back. Keep up the progress you have made. Still need to work on cart paths. From 17 green to 18 tee you can break an axle.
Looking forward to my next round there.
a shame - too bad
Played this course many times - I love the layout and the staff is friendly and the Chateau (19th hole) is very nice BUT the course was disappointing - the putting green was an indication that the greens on the course were only in fair shape
Last played about 7 months ago I hope conditions change for the better
Good reception, Good condition for the time , beat noisy but very good golf.
Course should close
I've played Indigo since the mid 80's when it was home to the LPGA. The owner(s) have let it deteriorate to now being maybe the worst in the Volusia/Flagler area of Florida. The greens have more weed than Bermuda. The fairways are much worse than other courses in this area. Tee boxes are nothing but brown packed dirt. The sand traps have decent sand, although not manicured. The bright is the very nice pro Cheryl. Not worth $20.00 much less $37.00
Great Round
Great course and great round. Can't wait to play again!
Nice Course but not many golfers
This is an enjoyable course with the first 9 being a little more challenging than the back. They need to lower their pricing on their rounds to attract more golfers to the course though...maybe a marketing person would help?
greens need work
Course is not memorable, but a good value for the $32 we paid. Staff are very friendly. Obviously money is a problem here as the bunkers are in poor condition and the greens have several diseased areas. Are quite slow in terms of speed. Fairways are fine but the tee boxes need some work. I could rake the several bunkers I was in during the day as there are no rakes adjacent to the bunkers and one was not provided on the cart. Felt bad for leaving an unraked bunker.
great layout
I play a number of courses in the area and this is by far my favorite. Extremely fair track that rewards good strategy and fun to play. Greens are not quite there yet, but with some improvement this course is terrific.
New Owners? Old Greens!
Course is okay. The bad part is the greens. They have different grasses growing in them and are very slow. There was a ridge around each cup from improper placement so putts tracking to even the center of the hole would get knocked to the side and around the hole just as the ball reach the lip. This happened several time. I can't recommend the course because of the greens. The pro shop staff was great however.
Good course
If the greens were better, we could have rated the course excellent
Greens fee increase is always going to be a problem.
The E-mail address acquisition discount is a new approach; I do not recommend that this practice continue. I could not determine if this business was having growing or shrinking problems.
Beautiful lakes, trees and islands
Good views. Wide soft fairways. Groomed sand bunkers. Nice but slower greens.
Never Play This Course
I will never go back to this course. When I checked in I was told members would not allow a non-member to ride with them in the cart and that I would need to ride alone in a third cart. I was told the same thing by the person loading bags in to the carts. I only played because I had paid in advance. After voicing an objection I was moved from the group. I ended up playing with one other person who was a non-member.
Almost There
Noticed vast improvement to sand traps....Thanks.
But the greens needed cutting. Keep working it and the Indigo of 10 years ago is possible. Also work on patching cart paths. You'll save money in cart repairs.
From 17 green to 18 tee is axel busting.
