Nice shot-makers layout with plenty of traps and tight landing spots, but the greens are in terrible shape. The drought has taken its toll, but it's clear this place had problems long before then. $30+ per round in Summer is overpriced. The staff was nice enough, but spread too thin. The whole experience felt discombobulated and out of sorts (no Bloody Mary mix, golf cart died on Hole 2, bike traffic on course, etc). We may try this course again, but not before hearing much needed improvements have been made.

We were well aware of aeration going in, but did not expect heavy sanding and the front nine to be closed. Maybe we should have read reviews better!

Had a miserable time dealing with the ranger and clubhouse as they allowed a group of loud, rude and obnoxious players on the course affect the pace of everyone. Their were multiple groups that continually paired up, making groups of 6 and 7 playing each hole together. The ranger would talk to them and break them up, within minutes the group was back together. We begged the ranger and clubhouse to take ownership of their course but they didn't seemed to want to enforce general rules of golf, they seemed more interested in making sure that group had a good time than they were worried about regular golfers who had to deal with waiting each hole for this group.

The biggest problem I found was when the ranger told me it was like this every day, that just told me to never play this course again

The course itself has a very good layout. There is a good mix of wide open holes, and holes which require precise placement of the ball. Mistakes are often punished. For a Sunday morning, the course was not crowded at all. The course was enjoyable; however, better maintenance of the course itself, would make this a course I would want to play again and again.

Twin River is a nice Florida country course. It has been privately owned but is to be taken over by the City of Oviedo in two weeks. They said that the city is going to invest some $$ into irrigation, fairway maintenance and bunkers shortly after. Considering how dry it has been in Central Florida, the course was in relatively good shape. The greens were very nice and rolled quite fair. Getting out into the heavy rough is often a lost ball; but we found plenty of others. Be careful about looking near the water though .... gators to be seen!

This course has a lot of potential. Not an easy layout; woods and lots of trouble. I understand the City is taking over course in April and hopefully conditions will improve; teebox, fairways, and greens are a little sketchy. Greens are hard and fast but not smooth due to weeds. But reasonable price makes it a good day.

I've written twice reviews on golf advisor, both have been about this course. The first was a good review because I played it 4 months ago and it was great in comparison to 8 months ago, that it almost turned me off of golf all around. I am sad to say that I won't be back which is unfortunate because I am a UCF student and it is very close to me. The greens were bumpy and patchy, the fairways were sandy half the time. Bunkers were decent. Tee boxes are terrible. The only thing that was nice was the friendliness of the staff. The lady in the kitchen toasted my buns for my hot dog so that was the only good part of my day.

I set this up as our 1st round of the week to warm up after a long winter. For $37 (and close to where we were staying), it was exactly what we needed, to get used to bermuda grass and limber up. We weren't expecting much but I was surprised when we got to the back 9. Some VERY challenging holes and a tricky layout. Greens are pretty well protected but putt easy.

Didn't use the facilities so can't say what they were like.

This course has such a beautiful layout and many tee choices for the very low and very high handicappers and all those in between. And it is rather challenging as well.

The problem now and 2 years ago when I played there previously is the absence of maintenance. The tees, fairways and greens are in bad shape...even though I was told in the Pro Shop that the conditions were excellent.

This course could be very much in demand if the ownership would put some money into it.

I have heard that the City of Oviedo may be buying Twin Rivers so that it doesn't turn into residential development.

So if the taxpayers are willing to spend their money on this facility, including the hiring of a professional golf course manager, the future could be very bright.

$30 Hot Deal for a 7:15 am tee time sounded good. For a 55 min drive from where I live and the conditions being ok. Tee boxes need some grass, rough is missing grass, looks like they did not over seed and some greens work being worked on and there were on Rakes for sand traps on 3 holes. Number 8 and number 17 and 18. I would have like to have paid only $20.

Staff was excellent and time of play was great but they need to hopefully get some grass growing.
