Great day of golf!
It was a beautiful day of golf. Course was in great shape. We did stuck behind a tournament on the front 9 but the pace picked up on the back. I would definitely come back.
Working on your game
This course is great for working on your game and improving skills. The driving range, practice putting area and chip/pitch area is pretty good. Would really like to see the small rocks and pebbles removed from the sand bunker.
Not worth the money
I understand inflation and the current economic situation. However, charging $130/round, more money could be put back into the golf course to improve conditions. Also, rangers need to be on the course moving along extremely slow players.
It's a dirt track. The out of town rate is objectively unfair
Pros: The people working there were nice.
Cons: $100+ for non-residents. This is insane. And honestly, $35 for residents is borderline unfair. It's literally a dirt track. The entire course is bare lies and random clumps of weed beds. The day I played the greens were sanded. I understand the need for this process, but they literally just dumped tons of sand on the green and left it there, making putting impossible. Overall, it seemed like they were trying to milk as much money out of whomever is willing to pay while doing the minimum as far as upkeep goes. I would only play here if it was under $30 (the bones of a good track exist under the dirt and weeds). But yeah, this is one of the worst maintained courses I've played.
Wildhorse Golf, Henderson, NV
As a first time visitor to the course I was overall impressed with the staff, driving range, putting and chipping practice areas. For a public course, the layout is worth the cost of a round. The course itself could use some upgrades, but the greens are well maintained. Overall a very good course to hone one's game.
Disc golfers are welcomed with open arms! Tha
Lance welcomed us and set us out to play. Came to the signature hole to take our photo. Love this place! Disc golfers are welcomed with open arms! Thanks Wild Horse!
Charged more than quoted on line
Reservation commitment made for $65 round. Started charged $75 without exception.
Great People
Since the one person who made me not play here for 6 months has left I’m back to enjoying. Diana and Kelley in Snack Shack. Don’t know all the names of cart people, but all great. Shout out to Jim, Justin, Joey. Larry, AB, and Dash inside. Lance and Tom starters.
Enjoy all the wildlife I encounter.
Really enjoy playing here.
Wildhorse
Nice clubhouse and atmosphere there, but for the cost the course was a major disappointment. I’d pay $30-$40 to play a course of that standard, but paid $130. Fool me once, but definitely won’t be playing it again for that price.
Good vibe
Staff was willing to help with any requests that may come up. Course played well and pace of play was good.
Overall great course
The mountain views are amazing. The course was very well maintained. The staff was nice. My only slight complaint was the layout. A lot of the holes were essentially the same—tight fairway with sand/ rock falloffs on both sides. The course is a challenge, but the individual holes were not unique. Really enjoyed myself and would definitely play again.
Great atmosphere
This course is a really good selection for the money the only real knock we had was the cart girl was really rude! The pace of play was slow but that’s because of the time of day and not a reflection on the staff or the course
Wow- what a shocking disappointment
A rip-off. Not having ever been to this course before and spent $259 for a twosome to treat my son. Vacationing from the NW, we have several courses there $60-$75 a round with manicured green fairways and beautiful tended greens. Showed up at the bag drop to find no one there. Parked and proceeded to carry the bags to the cart area when someone came up. Yellow and barren fairways with spotty greens with evidence of disease. My son and I left after the 11th hole.
Fairways and puttings need attention
Loved the staff and their friendliness but the course needs attention. The fairways were dead, very tight lies and the putting greens are rough. The carts were also great and the OSCE of play was also very good, not much waiting on each hole.
