Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Great track

Playing this location was truly a pleasure. My flight from Chicago was delayed and the staff at Stallion Mountain did an excellent job getting us out onto the course. When ever I'm in Vegas I will definitely make it a point to play a round at this location.

Mandatory Return

Made my debut here and the course was in SOLID shape. Played well and definitely enjoyed my round. Par 5's are scoring holes, the Par 3's were challenging for me (one Par 3 played 190-yds from the whites). It was extremely professional and efficient and worth every dollar of its prime-time slot prices.

Ok, course,

Not great shape and not really worth the $ given the other options available. Pace of play was good, because there were not many on the course. Wont go back

Solid, very playable budget course

Greens were fantastic and quick. Layout ok and only real issue was lack of on course pace of play monitor.

Horrible.

By far the worst course I’ve ever played. No beverage cart. No Marshall- and that’s the worst part. Was pacing a five-plus hour round, and that’s playing through two groups. Course is in inexcusable shape, left after ten. Complete waste of time and money.

Don’t.

Firstly, the fairways are in horrific condition. Greens were actually nice. Regardless- there is no Marshal. I’ve never, ever seen such a complete gong-show on a golf course. Slow doesn’t even begin to describe the pace of play. No beverage cart, therefore no water (or anything to drink). Three hours to play 10 holes. Then we left. Don’t waste your time.

Decent if you get a deal on tee time

I’ll start with the pro shop - person working was not friendly at all. Restaurant staff were great. Only seen the cart girl once (16th hole). Course is in playable shape greens were good rolled great but FW’s are spotty. If your paying over 75 dollars to play here, you’ve paid too much. Unfortunately golf has changed in Vegas…… the resident and non resident tee time costs are a scam, charging double or more for vacationing people to play.

Vegas Boys Trip!

Stallion was the third course on the annual Vegas boys trip. Course was in really good shape. Challenging for all levels. My buddies have high handicaps and I have 10 it was challenging for all of us. The staff was really friendly. They have a pretty Good practice area, with chipping and bunker area, putting greens and ranges. The greens are tough with a lot of levels and angles. The price for a non resident was a decent deal at $111 for a Saturday. I would recommend this course to play!!

Fair Course

First time on this course and it was slightly better than average. The tee boxes, fairways, greens were in okay shape with a few bare or dead grass areas. It’s a good track for the average golfer. No ball washers noted. Only real complaint is the trash laying around! Golf courses should also be aesthetically pleasing which means focus on picking up trash and cleaning up all the dead trimming.

great course for the money

Played this course recently for the second time. Was not expecting much but got much more. Layout was challenging with water and traps in the right spots. Pace of play was also very good. Will go back in the future. Location was 20 minutes from the Strip. Service at the grille was also very good afterwards.

Stallion Mountain

Played this course several years ago and thought it was a good price for the layout and convenience of the location. Both times teed off and played solo.

Course was meh and staff was unprofessional at best

Played here many times in years past and this course continues to detonate in all aspects. We had an early tee time, guy in the clubhouse was remarkably unfriendly and unhelpful, started seemed to not have a clue, and the Marshalls allowed a ridiculous gaffe at the turn when the foresome three groups ahead of us stopped at the clubhouse for a meal and popped right back in.

Greens were decent, but the rough is brutal and fairways were marginal. Overall, for $150 a round, so many other great options. Won’t be back.

Unregulated Pace of Play

It took 3hrs and 10 minutes to play the front9. Was talking with the group ahead of me as we waited on 10th tee box and decided to call the clubhouse as there were no marshals on the course. There was a foursome that was 3 holes behind and holding up everyone. The clubhouse said they would send someone out, but they never did. It was ridiculous. If this how it is here, I will never come back. The conditions were average and there are so many other places to play in the area that I will not return. Now I know why I was able to get a time here.
