About
One of the pioneers in Las Vegas golf, Painted Desert Golf Course is a 1987 Jay Morrish design has golfers shooting at targets in the desert.
Painted Desert has maintained its place in the Sin City golf community through all its changes by putting on an emphasis on course conditioning. Just because your greens are almost two decades old does not mean they cannot be in better shape than many of the new kids on the block.
The desert is the focus here, but Morrish also works in a few lakes as obstacles.
"This golf course is a very friendly layout and you can score here without having a feeling of imminent doom on every hole," John Scappatura said. "We are a bit off of the beaten path, which means that we almost always have availability for tee times. Everyone who does make the trip out here though appreciates our conditioning, the price, and the friendly atmosphere."

Dissatisfied
Did not match rating, more of a muni course, and overpriced for the quality of the course. Tee boxes were terrible along with the bunkers that were filled with rocks mixed in the sand. Driving range was pitiful, mats worn out, had to pay for balls, no tees on the mats. Recommend choosing another course in the area.

Sub Par Experience
Well the course has sure been let go since I played there 3 years ago. To bad as it has as a great course to play. Still fun to play need to ds a bit f up keep. Members and staff a little on the rude side. Stuffy attitudes for a low budget course. Price was a little high for the amenities and course conditions.

Good golf course and in great condition for tees, fairways and greens. Highly recommend.

Great course. Well maintained greens. Pace was a bit slow due to an AM tournament running late. But otherwise, good experience and will be coming back!

Late statt tee tomes to clos
Be prepared to get out late as they have tee times every 7 minutes! The course is in great shape but fairways are narrow and if missed, you will be in gravel and rocks so bring a beat up 7 iron to chip out!

Bring Your "A" Game!
This course will test every shot in your bag. The fairways are narrow, so be accurate with your tee shots. The greens are fast, and dangerous. A fun track and worth the price, so bring your "A" game! The views are spectacular, and everyone was friendly from start to finish. We'll be back!

So slow
Seven minute separation. 2 hours to play 6 holes. Not a great impression.

Double booking
I set a set time for this Saturday all 4 spots were taken. And now it shows up they need another 4 for the same time.
You'll see a whole lot of times backed up because of double booking.

Bad Experience!
Course was overbooked, overpriced and very limited parking. We had to park in the strip mall across the street. Our tee time was 11:54 but we didn’t get out until 1:30 and of course could not finish. For $124 per player, it was a terrible deal and experience! Don’t recommend!!!

After reading your review, I immediately looked into what transpired causing your experience, as we do not practice overbooking at our course. However on the day you played, there was a two hour frost delay in which you would've been notified by our golf shop and starter. Unfortunately, frost delays can put a strain on our guests and cause our tee times to be behind.
Also, boy do I wish our parking lot was bigger! However, I do feel fortunate that on very busy days, our guests have access to the business lot across the street that is only 100 yards away.
