Primm Valley Golf Club - Desert Course
About
Primm Valley Golf Club boasts two championship courses designed by Tom Fazio. On the Desert Course, Fazio fully utilized the rugged landscape and scenic views offered by the mountains in the distance. Like many of his designs, the Desert Course blends seamlessly into the beautiful surroundings. It is a straightforward layout with no hidden tricks but there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the undulating greens to provide some challenges. The golf course also requires a few tricky forced carries. The fairways are generous and offer some room for error, making the course more appealing to beginners. In addition to the two golf courses, Primm Valley also offers extensive practice facilities that include a double-ended driving range, target greens, practice putting greens, and chipping and pitching greens with sand bunkers.

Who could know?
If your running from Las Vegas to SoCal or vice versa you would never imagine that this lush golf paradise lies right behind the berm with the trees. Well worth the 45 minute run from Las Vegas, but I must caution everyone about high weekend traffic volumes, not the course's fault, but I15 can be a pain at those times.
First time to Play Desert Course and it was Challenging and I enjoy it. Next time I'll play Lake Course. I'll recommend this course to my Golfing Buddies..
Could be better
The course is nice, but management has lost the opinion of customer.
Great day
The Desert course conditions continue to improve and as it is more exposed to the elements and narrower than the Lakes course is a tougher track. The Lakes course is pristine and such a pleasure to play.
Their practice facilities are second to none
The staff are excellent, friendly and accommodating
Amazing experience
It was very enjoyable and the course maintenance is exceptional the value to play is awesome great value for these two courses. Very professional a pleasure to play them both
Do yourself a favour
In a nut shell, a hidden jewel! 7 par fours and 11 par threes. Challlenging and fun! Do yourself a favour and play this track
Greens are better than now!
Greens are quite better than we played last year. The layout of the course is good. Green fee is reasonable. We played the Lake course. Recommended!
Very nice facility
Our reservation was for the Desert Course. But because it was windy, they recommended that we play the Lakes Course instead as they were not busy. The Lakes Course was beautiful and in an excellent condition. The greens were a bit slow but ok. We finished our round in little under 4 hours. They allowed us to try out holes 1 and 2 of the Desert Course. It was dry and not in a good condition. We were glad we played the Lakes. Will come back again.
Love it
While not as polished as the overseesed Lakes course, the Desert course proved to be quite enjoyable. The greens putted true and we always had good lies in the fairway. The layout was both challenging and fun. With a lot of doglegs, it’s a real shotmakers course. Beautiful views of the nearby hills and very friendly and accommodating staff.
Play the LAkes
The desert course is not maintained in off season (only the greens). The lakes course was incredibly well taken care of. The Club manager informed us of this but we wanted to see the desert style course. We played front nine on Desert side and then switched to the lake course and it was great.
AMAZING layout and conditions!
Played on a Sunday (3/31/24) starting time was 11:50am and finished at 3:40pm (3h50m) we played the lakes and it’s in BEAUTIFUL condition! One of thee best places I have ever played. The tee boxes are IMMACULATE, and the greens run pretty smooth! Everyone was super nice and helpful. Will DEF come again
For the lakes course
Originally booked desert. Ended up playing lakes, incredibly well maintained and beautiful. Lots of long holes, so make sure you can drive the ball.
Needs some tlc
Greens, fairways and T boxes were a little rough. The pace of play was horrid- played 16 holes in 5.5 hrs and then left. No Marshall
Not worth driving from vegas- no cost break so you are better off playing in LV.
Rough rough but great lay out
Greens in bad shape. And the rough is more then rough. Challenging course for sure. Not bad value for the course. Hopefully they get greens better quickly
Greens on first few holes were good....
Played Desert course. No tee markers on #2 tee box, a mess. Fairways need work as do a lot of the greens.
We know why there were very few cars in the parking lot...
Course conditions are getting better
The course has an excellent layout and is roughly 5 to 8 shots tougher than the Lakes course course conditions are still a little rough but the course is still worth playing
