River Oaks Golf Club
About
River Oaks Golf Club stretches across more than 800 scenic acres along the Intracoastal Waterway. The Course begins with the shortest of the three nines and finishes with the longest. The final hole on the front nine presents one of the most interesting risk-reward opportunities on the golf course. You can aim for the right bunker for an open shot at the green or try a long drive down the left side for a short approach. River Oaks Golf Clubs' Otter nine has several challenges in store including mounding, strategically placed bunkers, and tricky water hazards.

Reasonable value for money (Hot Deal)
Enjoyable round, the two nines are quite different. Was linked with a nice couple, Eddy played off of the championship tees and hit the ball miles, I played off of the whites (instead of the yellow!) and he was often still 50 yards in front of me, his wife played off the yellows. It was an enjoyable round in lovely weather with good company, what more can you ask for.
The bridge!
This is a fun course, and for the time of year it was in great shape. Pace was good, staff was friendly. The bridge you have travel over between the front nine and back nine is a real experience. To me it was fun, but if you have a fear of heights you might struggle with this one. The greens on this course are small. Some are real small. I don't remember any of them being flat and the ones that have water around them slope to that water. I say that to say it was still fun. I loved the challenge, even though it kicked my butt. I will definitely keep it on my list of courses to play in Myrtle Beach.
Good round on a nice day
This was an early season round so the course still needs time to green up. The fairways and greens were in nice condition, very consistent and predictable. Sand traps need some work.
Overall, a nice course for the price.
Awful conditions
Without any information at pro shop, this was the worst conditions of any course we’ve played at. It was so wet and that wasn’t just from the rain the previous day. It was cart path only and we finally finished and we were loaded with mud. When you were in wet lies you had to walk 25-30 yards to find a half dry spot. We went to the pro shop after and a young kid was basically laughing in our face after we asked if there was anything they were doing for the golfers after not explaining how bad the conditions were before hand and having to play like this? He said no all I can do is apologize.
Good value. A little wet 2 days after rain
Course was in decent shape but check for cart path restrictions if recent rain. Good value.
Good value, a little wet
Decent layout. Greens had some slope but speed was ok
On greens so playable. No cart restrictions but still
Wet 2 days after rain
Weather
Because of the weather, I had to cancel, but I reserved a tee time for Thursday the 29th, I’ll get back to you then
Had a great day
Enjoyed playing this course. It was in reasonable condition for this time of year. It was pretty busy but the pace of play was good.
