Good value for the buck! Many courses have become overpriced but no obvious upgrades to warrant the noticeable increase in price.
Challenging but fair
Found the course challenging but fair, was in good condition, however there was only 1 employee working to get everyone off, which caused chaos as we were left standing there wondering when we’re going to get off, turns out about 1/2 hr late.
Slow Play
Strongly suggest not to book on a Wednesday. Ladies league!! Caused huge backlog. Course is in fair condition
Watch out for the water
This is a nice course to play outside the normal Myrtle Beach rotation. It's a nearly flat course, with mature trees and several water hazards that are not evident from the tee boxes. So, if you have not played before or it has been a while, make sure you have a GPS/Overhead view of the holes. I found water six times - not always on a bad shot, just did not know there was a water hazard on the line I hit. Nothing fancy at the clubhouse, but a good atmosphere. Basic carts. Wet a towel before you leave as the golf ball washers are few and far between. Course conditions were pretty typical for this time of year - dormant grass in the rough, but the fairways and tee boxes and greens were all in good shape. Breaks on the green were difficult to read with some subtle breaks and breaks that just weren't there. Cart paths were a bit rough - not surprising for an older course. Front nine is in the woods; back nine has some housing. Driving range and putting green were very close to the clubhouse. Despite a steady flow of players, the pace was good, with no abnormal waits or backups. A good value course where you will use all the clubs in your bag.
Great Course to play
Theres a couple of golf courses around in the area but Diamondback is better such as layout, condition, pace of play, atmosphere and price. Of cos staff friendlyness I'm sure this golf course is not for beginners. Would play again when we have a chance.
Nice fairways
Fairways were in good shape for the time of year. Greens were inconsistent. Some were fast while others were slow. Staff was friendly and on top of tee times. Pace of play was slow it took us 4 hours and 40 minutes.
Great Course
This course was an excellent condition both fairways and greens while manicure.
The lack of ball washing equipment was a concern.
Challenging course
We had heavy rain the day before and
limited to cart path only. First time playing any course like that for me. Got a lot more steps, walking to the ball with multiple clubs and sometimes having to go back to the cart again?
It would be a very nice course if it weren’t for the rain. Challenging, nice dog leg fairways so playing for the first time there were a lot of unknowns.
I would surely play it again
WOW!!!
Great course. Greens were good and fairways very decent. Shot the worst round in a while. Great challenging layout and friendly staff but the course ate my shorts (this time). I will certainly be back to try and make amend.
