About
The Duke at Rancho El Dorado is a championship, 18-hole golf facility designed by David Druzinsky. This desert links style course offer generous fairways and a scenic view of the natural desert sage and brush surrounding. The difficulty lies in the slope of putting green so golfers beware.
The Duke at Rancho El Dorado is a par-72 golf course that measures 7,011 yards from the back tees.
After a round on the Duke at Rancho El Dorado, head to Silver Spur Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio, which offers vistas of the Estrella Mountains as well as that 18th hole you just wrapped up on.

Underwhelming
This course was a drive from the west valley but we came up with cash and made the trip. We waited till overseed was finished and there were no cart path restrictions. The pace of play was slow and we waited on every hole after the turn. The condition was quite the disappointment and was not at all what we expected. Needless to say we will not be returning.
Longer drive but worth it.
The staff was excellent and very helpful with whatever we needed. A bonus was eating at their restaurant after the round. Great food, service and cold beverages.
Cleaning up some
Easy to find. Easy check in. Can’t take carts to car carts clean with ice in chests and sand bottles. Tees generally good. A few divots on par 3’s. Fairways with short grass and fairly dry. Roughs with ok grass. Some desert areas and still most in need of cleaning up. Bunkers mostly with soft white sand. Greens generally roll good Played in 4:10. Ball boys need to come with brushes and cloths to clean clubs. Water buckets for towels. Water on course for us. Some of cart paths in need of minor repairs prices finally in line
Needs maintenance
Easy to find. Check in easy. Carts can’t go to car. Ice in chests and sand on carts. Tees pretty good seems like they could use regular filling of divots. Fairways short and pretty good. Some bunkers with real nice soft white sand others with more like dirt. Greens putt pretty well and fairly fast. Desert areas in need of maintenance. Paths over water could be improved. Played in 3:45. Cost finally down to reasonable
4 hour round
Grass range, putting green and chipping green with bunker to work on your short game before going out was great. Staff was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the lost art of the 4 hour round. Great day out!
Slow play?
We took a Hot deal at 11:15 on a Saturday and weren't paired with anyone? So a 2 some sandwiched in-between 2 4somes and may I add the group in front of us was so slow! We waited almost 5 minutes on every shot. If your only capable of hitting 125 yd drives sideways? Then watch some videos or play best ball. I assume you aren't going to work the next day and telling your buds you shot a 150!!! Last of all did they let us through or was there a Marshall? Of course not.
Great course!
Well worth the 45 minute drive from Scottsdale. Course in great shape. Staff was super friendly and pace of play was good. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem.
