Conditions detract from a nice tack
Owner needs to better maintain this course. Fix dead spotsvin fairways and on greens. Address crabgrass on fairways and tees. Install plants to improve overall aesthetics. Looks like absolute minimum being spent
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Tiger's Eye. We apologize we fell short of your expectations this time, but we are working hard daily to provide our guests with an enjoyable golf experience. We hope you will give us another chance in the future to show you our continued progress.
Conditions on the way back
We play here almost every year for at least the past 10 years. I have left some scathing review the last couple of year as conditions had deteriorated, but I am happy to say that they are starting to improve their conditions. The greens all rolled true, and were receptive to shots in. The tees could use some work but most were at least reasonable. Rairways were in decent shape, some bare spots but considering recent weather this is to be expected. A few bare spots on the greens, but pin placements were kept away from them. A few traps could use some more sand, but overall they are much improved over the last few years. I would say that the new course super is doing a good job bringing this course back to playing conditions.
Thank you very much for the nice Four Star review of Tiger's Eye. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your recent visit. We are working hard to provide our guests with a fun and memorable golf experience and it is always good to hear our efforts are being noticed! Be sure to visit the other Big Cats courses as well and see our continuing progress.
Thanks again.
Just s guy playing golf
Cant complain about anything here at Tigers Eye. Greens rolled great, course was is great summertime condition. Staff so friendly, my 11 year old son came for a ride along, staff said he could play for free. He didnt have his clubs but elected to chip/putt with me from my approach shots. Played 18 in 3 hours. Will return in future, layout fun, have risky shots on few holes if you choose to take them on. I cant praise them enough for everything, dont believe all those negative reviews people seem to be so negative these days.
Thank you very much for the great Five Star review of Tiger's Eye! We really appreciate the positive feedback. You're right, anyone who hasn't played Tiger's Eye in a while should give it another try. It is a fun course to play and in nice condition, especially considering the drought/monsoon weather cycle we have been on in our region this year. Thanks again!
Tee boxes and fairways were in rough condition. Not worth 60 dollars.
A big cat course? I guess.
I decided to play the course after reading the description provided on the Golfnow app. It's not a bad course at all for the price I paid. The description mentioned a waterfall, but I only found a tiny little thing out there that fit the description. It should probably not be mentioned. What should be mentioned is that the starter should probably be better trained to give pertinent information such as the lack of yardage markers, course conditions, how to get to the first tee, and the pin position number that corresponds to the diagram on the cart. I had to wing it on all of the above, but I still enjoyed my round. I suggest that the course follow the lead of Diamondback Golf and install big colored vertical markers to assist patrons without GPS figure their yardage on the course. The Tiger was painfully lacking other than the tiny markers located on the cart paths which can only be seen as you approach them (if still on the cart path). Overall, not a big deal of a course. The hype did it a disservice I would say. Hole number nine was fun with a long approach over water to a smallish green. I might play again, but the 40+ mile drive was not worth the gas. Thanks for listening. I did like it mostly, and you'll probably like it too!
Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to Tiger's Eye. We very much appreciate your patronage. The months long extreme drought followed by heavy rains in the last couple of weeks have definitely made maintaining consistent course conditions a challenge, but we are committed to continuing to provide the best possible playing conditions mother nature will allow at the moment. You certainly did not catch us at our very best and current pricing reflects that fact. We hope you will come visit us again and see our continued improvement.
Tigers Eye great despite overnight rains
Always one of my favorites. Course took a lot of water so most areas were not cut when I played. Greens were slow due to not being cut in a while.
Glad course drains well. I was glad I could play very few wet spots.
Great value and very scenic
Had a great time playing, the course was in excellent condition
Thank you for the great Five Star review of Tiger's Eye. We truly appreciate your patronage and we look forward to seeing you again!
Save your money
Extremely poor condition. Someone buy this place and spend some money on a good layout. Save your money or spend a little more on some other options close by.
Great layout, Poor conditions
Enjoyed the layout. Greens slow and rough. Seems they were also aerated but not brushed.
Course does not drain well, many bunkers full of water to point where you couldn't see your Ball. Tees in rough shape. Would play again if rate was lower. For same money I can play my home courses which are in very good shape.
Enjoyed the course
This was an enjoyable course to play. We arrived early and were able to begin play prior to our tee time. The course is in good condition. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Great Course. Challenging condition
Tiger's Eye is one of my favorite Myrtle Beach layouts. I have never had an issue with the course conditioning until this year. Many areas of the course were burned out, but the greens were in the worst condition ever. The ball was bouncing all over the green and did not roll true.
Thank you very much for the Four Star review of Tiger's Eye. It is definitely a great layout. The recent drought certainly has impacted the conditions during the transition period from spring to summer, but the recent rain has worked wonders already as the course has now completely broken dormancy and has greened up for the warm weather season. We hope you can come visit us again and see the improved conditions.
Terrible
Upon arrival at the check in I asked for practice balls and my cart. The man told me I could just carry my clubs 200 yards to the range and back and get my cart later. What kind of customer service is this with 90% humidity outside? The back nine was nothing but dead grass and dirt spots in the fairways and on the greens. They closed down everything early without telling the customers removing access to drinks and restrooms. During the hottest part of the day we were without anything to drink for nine holes.
Thank you for your patronage of Tiger's Eye. We apologize we fell short of your expectations on your most recent visit. As a general rule, we do not allow carts at our driving range because this range services 3 courses and does not have a dedicated parking area that could accommodate the volume of carts we would have there if we allowed each guest to drive a cart. Our cart path and access to the range would be completely blocked. We apologize for this inconvenience. The recent drought did impact the bermuda grass from fully breaking dormancy, but the recent rain has made a tremendous difference, as things have greened up considerable in the last couple of days. Now that the bermuda is out of dormancy, we should be nice and green for the warm weather season. We hope you will visit us again sometime and see our continued progress and improvement.

Tigers Eye
Great greens and fairways a bit dry but not too bad. They need some rain since they have been in drought conditions. I heard that Tigers Eye is in the best condition of the Big Cat courses.
Thank you for the nice Four Star review of Tiger's Eye. The recent rain has helped considerably and things are looking greener by the minute! We hope you will visit us again soon and see our continued progress.
