Disrespectful children running things
Overall it was a good time and not my first time. But due to the confusing website on how to pay for 18 holes we paid for 9 and kept going and were going to pay for the back 9 when we wrapped up. Not even half way into the "10th" hole we were interrupted by 2 kids that tbh haven't seen a haircut it at least a year. They approached us like bouncers at a dive bar and were insanely rude as we told them it was an obvious misunderstanding and we were not trying to rob them of their extra 15 bucks or whatever it is. These kids have no place in the customer service industry and from the looks of it have no place in functioning society, but that was just my experience and I won't be going back. Just a piece of advice, don't let a child man a ship built for adults.
IMPRESSIVE
I was very impressed with the beauty of this course. Marshalls were present but quiet. Simple course lay-out but very fun. Greens keepers... Well done
Tight Quarters
My group really likes this course. If you miss right or left, there is a good chance that you will be in another fairway. Plan on dodging some balls. I've never heard "fore" yelled so much. The staff was great! After the last tee time of the day, a family can bring kids/learners on for a very reduced rate! As we were finishing up, there was a girl about 7 years old running down the first fairway stopping only to hit the ball and continue running. It was great fun to watch!
Bad day for golf
Raining and muddy course.
I had two T times for my wife and myself.
She refused to play because of the weather.
I playing, but only make 6 holes. The 7th hole was a mud pit and it start raining real hard.
Great home town course
This is my local hometown course and I am so glad I live so close to it. The staff are always extremely nice and the cost to play is great. The course usually floods in the winter, but other than that, this is a great place to play a quick 9 holes. They even have family night where you can bring your kids out and play 5 holes for $5. Love this course.
Great course on a Beautiful Day
Grandson and I really enjoyed the round on this beautiful and challenging course. Hot early afternoon, but plenty of water when we needed it.
Great Value
Play here early in the morning by myself, the course was in great condition.
I had my first hole-in-one on hole #6, unbelievable!
Maybe it was just a bad day...
They allowed a group of 8, yes EIGHT in front of us. People were jumping all over from hole to cross hole trying to get ahead, around, behind. Balls coming at us from every direction. Pretty back and forth course, pretty well maintained and beautiful setting. Just chaotic and no control or respect what-so-ever from golfers hopping around the course.
A great day at McKay
For an all around great day, this is a great place to golf. We started with their special; a hot dog, drink, chips and a medium bucket of balls for $10. After warming up on the driving range we wandered over to the course via the footbridge over the creek to the gold tees. This course is full of charm and challenge, beginners and more advanced players can play together at their own skill level. The staff were friendly and we look forward to returning soon. Bring extra balls ~ the blackberries love to eat them up !
Good deal, nice course
Got a hot deal on golfnow.com and it was well worth it. This was an interesting 9 hole course with an easy to walk layout and some fun shots. Some short yardage par 3's, around 100 yards, but also a few long par 5's so good shot variation. They also had a snack cart come around every few holes for refreshments. Overall a nice course with solid fairways. The greens were being aerated so they were slow and sandy but honestly it didn't hurt our scores that much. We had fun and were paired up with a couple of cool guys who knew the course and helped us pick our shots. Will go back soon.
Friendly people to play with and almost got a hole in one!
I like the variety of having equal numbers of Par 3s, 4s and 5s. It made it quick to get around as well since people were willing to let me play through since I was playing at a faster pace.
Good straight forward course. Greens are forgiving. Ending with two par fives can make or break you.
Play here almost weekly fun little spot. Only drawback is its only 9 holes.
Super friendly staff and challenging course for us novices.
Worth the drive from Portland. Fun for novice players. Will go back again.
It's Oregon, buy an umbrella and get over it!
