Lone Tree Golf Club
About
Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Pace of play was 4 hours for 18
Course was in great shape.
Greens are fast and challenging.
Staff are extremely friendly.
I would recommend this course if you are in the area.
Decent course - would play again
Enjoyed the round. Paired up for front 9 with 2 regulars which was helpful with "local knowledge" - pace was decent. Back 9 slowed up but largely due to being a single behind 3 foursomes.
Course in decent condition (some areas around greens lacking in grass in 1st or 2nd cut but nothing major), fairways were in great shape, greens hard and fast.
Pro Shop, Starter, were all extremely friendly. Value for money for a perfect weather Friday afternoon. Would play again.
Beautiful course
Excellent condition
Challenging but not different
Great value
Good Round
I've played this course a number of times - was in great shape. Took some friends and they enjoyed it as well. We had lunch after the round and it was clear our server did not want to be there. However, the others, including the beverage cart person, were very friendly
Nice course
Good condition especially the fairways greens a little slow
Great value
Course in good condition especially greens fairways they keep t boxes nice shape I pd $67 was something I would repeat
Very open but still challenging
It’s one of the best courses I have played in this area of Phoenix. It can be pricey but watch for deals and if your not particular about the time you golf you can manage the price in low demand times.
Lone Tree - Better than I remember
I have played the course twice in the last year after not playing it for almost 20 years. The layout is better than I remember it to be and it is in better shape this year than last. However, the green fees are often much higher than at Bear Creek just down the road a couple of miles.
Bear Creek is a Nicklaus design course and is in as good condition as Lone Tree. I've taken to playing Lone Tree on occasion just for a change when there is a Golfnow hot deal or good twilight time available.
