Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Twilight play
Was a great playing experience everyone was friendly. The only reason it’s not getting a perfect score is that I got stuck behind a foursome who played way to slow. I’m sure it was just a one off though. Great course highly recommend!
Disappointment
This golf course keeps getting worse and worse. Kind of reminds me of Great Eagle up in Surprise/Sun City in how the course kept on declining. The only way to enjoy this course is to stripe it down the fairway, hit your next shot within 6 inches of the cup, and make birdie/eagle. Because if you hit it anywhere else on the green, it’s an automatic 3-putt. The greens are terrible. Since they’re a mix of dead grass, bushy grass, and somewhat normal grass. Fairways are ok. Tee boxes are hit or miss. If you can get on for $20 or less, maybe play here. Other than that.. it can be a very frustrating round.
Don't waste your money.
I was skeptical about this course when booking due to some reviews but decided to give it a chance. I could not believe how horrible the conditions were. Luckily I only paid $50 compared to others that day. The course is not worth $20. It was a warm day in Arizona with temperatures at 100%. One would think the coolers on the course would have water. None of the coolers were filled. My tee time was 10:00 am. I can live with fairways not being in the best shape but when the greens are diseased and not maintained that's unacceptable. The only positive to playing at this course was the on course cart attendant was pleasant. Other than this just close the course and build houses. What's the point.
It’s a Stretch Calling this Place a Gokf Course…..
…… in its present conditions. Greens…… complete crap. Tee boxes…. crap.
Coldwater has never been pristine. But, it was generally an ok economical course to play. Now it’s a dump.
Course is a disaster.
No idea what is going on played this course in 2022 and it was great--played in fall 2023 and course was in tough shape, played in April 2024 and course was a disaster.
Terrible course conditions!
Greens were dying or dead..bumpy all over..fairways spotty and dry..just overall terrible upkeep for a place that recently charged upwards of $90!!!!
Not going back anytime soon and we like playing there.
Worst greens in the valley!
Staff as always was great… greens and tees need major work….
Great value for the money overall, but the greens are in very bad shape
I’ve been playing Coldwater for a couple of years now and the staff is great and it is a fun layout but over the last few months something has happened to the greens where some of them are almost unputtable. Hopefully they are working on this to get them back to decent condition. Obviously, I’m not expecting TPC like greens due to the price, but they need to work on them ASAP.
Great value
The course is a great value for the money. Solid layout, very friendly staff. Only downside is the greens could be in better shape. Fairways were good.
Better than expected
Course was in much better condition than when previously played. Fairways in good condition but greens were bumpy otherwise not bad overall.
Coldwater golf course
Fairways in good shape. Greens had two types of grass, darker color was more normal speed and lighter color, matted down much faster. Very inconsistent putting. Rough bad. Very little grass. Mostly crab grass and hard pan dirt.
I Like this course
For a first timer at golf the staff, and other golfers were patient with me. Love for Coldwater
Horrible Greens
The course was in decent shape except the the greens the were absolutely horrible. The green fees were good but you definitely are not paying for the greens! I have played this course before I do not know what happened.
Course is terrible shape
I play this course a lot because I live on it. Worst I’ve seen it in 12 years. The staff at the course is great. Best cart girl in the valley. Bar and restaurant is good and great staff. However they close really early every day. The course is just terrible. Greens are bouncy and dead. Around the greens are terrible. It just gets too much play. And no money put back into it. Don’t play it
