This course is fine
If you're looking for a course that's kind of beat up this is it. I loved the layout but the overall condition and pace of play left a bit to be desired.
Tough conditions
This was a very nice course. Because of recent rains the course was soggy and carts were required to stay on paths only. This contributed to one of the slowest rounds I've ever played. I really enjoyed the course however. I would recommend this course but wait until it dries out and carts are allowed off the paths.
Solid Course
Fun course, great condition. Pace of play was great for a busy holiday weekend. Would've been even better had it not been cart path only. Will definitely play again
Nice setting good course lay out
Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Bunkers were not good at all but that is understandable with all the recent rains and storms. Would come back and play again.
Drumm farms
It was a 4 hour 45 minute round. We waited on every hole and every shot. No sand in the bunkers - never saw a Marshall the entire round.
Great overall experience
The course was great. It was challenging, but not so much as to be discouraged about my overall game. Will definitely be coming back!
looks great!
They are taking great care of the course. The facilities are great! Keep up the good work.
Aeration
The greens had recently been worked on but were still fast and fair.
Drumm is always worth playing
A very nice round. Course has come out of winter great. We played on a Saturday in prime time and played in 4 hours and 15 minutes. If anyone in the KC area has not played this course they must put it on the list.
Dubbs Dread
Playing time was right at 3'. Course was nice but a little rough due to winter conditions Overall nice though
Challenging Course
This is a great track...very challenging for any handicap. See Dustin in the pro shop. Great guy and the entire staff was super friendly.
Beautiful and challenging
Independence is lucky to have this course. The new owners will be challenged to keep up with the areas course to the North but has a great start since this layout is player friendly yet challenging semi-links style layout with tall grass hazards, tall rough, zoysia fairways and strategic fairway and front green side sand traps. Find the fairways for a chance to score!
Great Course
One of my favorites in KC. All the holes are well planned and creatively layed out. Conditions were great this late in the season despite the recent green aeration. Great deal for the money
Excellent Course
My brother and I played on Friday October 3, 2014. We were in KC for a golf trip from St. Louis and booked this round through GolfNOW. The course was in excellent shape. The greens were fast and true. I would recommend this course to anyone!
Drumm farm
Course was in good shape, saw a marshall one time, rate of play was slow and threesome ahead of us would not let us play thru, other than that it was a great day and also saw several deer some within ten feet of us.
Nice course
Course wasn't too difficult, but puts a premium on placing shots in correct areas.
Great time
I played on a Tuesday at 1:00 pm. The course was in really good condition. The pace was great. It's a tough course. The rough is tall so safe play is recommended. Everyone should play this course. I had a great time.
Fun course
Made a last minute tee time and couldn't have made a better choice. Fun course for all players. Conditions were nice for the time of year. We played at 934 and I could see the course getting packed behind us. I would be inclined to play earlier knowing this. Great facility.
Nice course if you are good and can overlook the goose doo doo
Fairways are the best of any course I have played in kc area. Course is well maintained. Bring some extra balls if you are a higher handicapper as the rough is mowed short and not bad but surrounding the rough are two foot tall native prairie grasses that swallow up any balls that land in them. One of the holes has a green so covered in goose doo doo you cannot even putt it's just a pick your ball up and go. You can't really blame that on the course though.
