Most Chill/Underrated 9 Hole Course in California
Come play this gem right away, better yet right when the sun is setting and the band is playing at the always near by clubhouse and maybe while having a cold one or 2. The vibe here is awesome, better layout and conditions than I expected. You can tell they have put a lot of money back into the course recently and with a little more work it could be a perfect place. Good mix of short and long par 3's, greens were fast and true which was a good surprise. #5 is an awesome signature hole and something I wish I could play all day long. Overall if you enjoy playing golf in your sandals with a beer in your hand this might be the closet thing to heaven.
The " Go To" Course
Played this course the day after torrential rain and it was great. While other courses have drainage issues, this one has none. When cabin fever has its' grip on you, this place will get your golf fix on.
Good time !
Course is in very good condition. Casual amenities complete a venue for a relaxing day with friends and/or family. Only thing lacking is the ability to obtain a riding cart which can make it a physical challenge for a senior who has some mobility issues. Overall this is a very good facility for an enjoyable afternoon.
Relaxing par 3 course.
Very good par 3 course to sharpen your short game. Course layout was good with the ability to provide several different yardages from the tees.Greens were excellent, Nice fairways and decent teeing areas. Both mats and natural grass to tee from. I am 69 and weigh in at 245 and I walked it with no trouble in a little over an hour.I will be back.
Fun little course
I played this course while visiting San Diego and had a blast. Short par 3 course with turf tee boxes on some holes but scenic and fun.
Fun Course
Course was fun. Played my first round with my 11 year old grandson!! It is exactly what I expected, an easy par 3 with relaxed pace of play.....
Great value, great clubhouse
This is my favorite 9 hole course in San Diego. I can usually play in 1 to 1-1/2 hrs. The course is in great shape with fast, challenging greens. All par 3’s. Longest of which is 203 yards. Great for beginners, kids or golfers working on their short game. The clubhouse has super friendly staff and the BEST Breakfeast burrito you will ever have. Also a good selection of beers. Great short game practice area. The only negative I have is the “driving range” is just a few mats and a net about 10 feet in front of you. But I come back again and again because of the staff, the well maintained greens and fairways and the staff...and that breakfast burrito. Also all the Salad dressings are made in house by the chef.
SailHo is a little Gem
It was 6:30 a.m. and we had a small amount of time to get a golf game in. Loma Club or SailHo was a great option. Right in the heart of Point Loma, this golf course is a little 9 hole that has all of the amenities that a big course has; putting, chipping, driving range. It also has a nice clubhouse. The course itself is convenient and fun. Short holes and longer holes, this course has a nice balance. I really like this course.
Loma Club
VERY kid-friendly course. The youngsters will cause slow play for more experienced golfers.
short game improver
Good conditions considering water restrictions. Several challenging greens. Got into sand three times here (rarely do elsewhere). Didn't hit as many greens as expected. The clip on my cart covered up the black (back) tee yardage on the scorecard much of the round. Stupid me...but an enjoyable course! Will come back with wife.
Great Par 3 Course
Walked on as a single about 1130 a.m. No wait and played in about an hour. Great views of the city with a good assortment of long and short par 3's.
Beautiful Par 3 9 Hole Course
Greens are in great condition and you can tell they take pride in their tee box areas, fairways and greens. Really open par 3 course with amazing views of Downtown San Diego. It's my new favorite par 3 in San Diego.
Pro Shop
Excellent service. Nice atmosphere and a good beer selection.
Renamed The Loma Club
This course was recently renamed The Loma Club. It is a very short 9 hole course that is fun to play. The greens and fairways are in good shape but some of the tee boxes are made of astroturf. The practice range is also astroturf hitting into a net. The practice green is a nice surprise and is a large expanse of nicely kept green grass. A few of the holes have a substantial elevation change which made distance estimating a little tricky. Pace of play was very fast as we completed 9 holes in 65 minutes despite having to wait a few holes.
Nice
great pitch and putt.Nice place to play in less then 1.5 hour. Green in very good condition.
The course is very good for a public course
Great par 3 course. My wife is a beginner and she had fun. Very good for the price.
