Played Silverrock for the first time with some friends on our latest trip to Palm Springs and booked through Golf Now and got a great rate. Played the combo tees which was a nice mix for all of us. Course was in great shape and offered a great mix that will challenge any golfer yet still allow you the opportunity to score well as there are some generous landing spots available. If I had to find something critical to say (which was hard to do) the greens were quite grainy with plenty of top dressing, however that was understandable as the summer season was upon them. Staff were amazing, very courteous and very knowledgable. Overall awesome experience and will definitely play again.

not for 20+ handicaps. Need to play it a few times. Bunkers are steep hard to get in and out of; need railroad tie steps or the like. Pace of play 4 hr 40 min marshals did nothing. Typical "not offend" slow players attitude from marshals.

If you like playing out of 8 foot bunkers - at least 1 (usually twice or more), on every hole then this is a course for you. If you are not in a bunker you'll most likely be in a pond, lake or creek.

We love this golf course! We come back and back each year. Last year there were many big horn sheep on the back nine. Very fun to see so up close. However, this year there was a new fence - understandable.

I really enjoyed this course. Lots of tees from which to choose, with a combo set to fill the large gap between the blues and whites. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Lots of bunkers and waste areas to avoid and just enough water to keep you honest. Undulating fairways give a lot of uneven lies. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

At age 70 , I played the whites and did very well. The fairways are in great shape, the challenge is the bunkers around the large greens and the distance.

There is no what I call "garbage" when hitting your shots, especially tee shots. You pick your target and swing, don' t have to worry about unfair sloping of fairways, or 200 yards of waste area along fairways. A great day despite the wind.

This is a great course. Arnold Palmer's design features mean a lot of variety, a lot of challenges, and a lot of bunkered greens. But, it's not super intimidating and is very playable, at least from the 6300 tees. In addition to this well designed and extremely well maintained course, you get to experience nature at its best. Our group encountered no less than 15 big-horn sheep. We saw a group of 4 or 5 coming down to drink some water from one of the many ponds. We saw a half-dozen big-horn walking through the bunkers surrounding the 16th green. We saw 5 or 6 big-horn navigating their way along side the mountains that surround the course. And finally, we had a big-horn walk down beside us as we teed it up on the 13th tee. The whole experience was exceptional. I was fortunate to catch a nicely discounted rate, but was still able to easily play all 18 holes. This really is an exceptional course and unique experience.

This is a fabulous track with lots of variety. Cart GPS helps to offset many blind holes. I teed off as a solo joining 3 at 1.03 and we were fortunate to get 18 in by dusk 5.45. Pace of play ahead of us could have been better on the back 9, a Thursday. I did not bug them enough but i would have liked to join an earlier group, as was there early using range etc. Anxious to return again.Cheers

Challenging, excellent design and condition. Bighorn sheep on course! Only reason for not rating 5 stars was extremely slow pace of play resulting in not being able to finish before dark...4.5 hours to play 16 holes....way too slow. Will definitely be back and hope to se marshalls monitoring reasonable pace of play next time

SiverRock has an excellent range and pre game area. Its nestled near the mountains. You lose daylight & temperature quickly once the sun goes behind them. This slows play. Finshed the round in semi darkness at 5:10 after a 12:38 tee time. Greens can be hard to hold even with higher irons and longer pitch shots. Need to play it once or twice to know where the canal comes into play. Good track but takes some experience to know how to play it.
