The Fidra Course is one of two courses at Archerfield Links. Both golf courses are 7,000 yards and share similar terrain and scenery as their famous neighbors, the Muirfield and North Berwick courses. Unlike the other golf course at Archerfield Links, which has a more traditional links layout, the Fidra Course has a more fast-running links layout with large greens that are subtly contoured. Both courses feature deep bunkers, sand dunes, and scenic views of the Forth Estuary and the Bass Rock. There are also towering pine trees throughout both courses, but they are the defining feature of the first few holes of the Fidra Course.
