Nice flat links course

I really enjoyed the easy walking and liked the fact that you went one way and back. This meant the wind was with you on 9 holes and against you on 9. Unfortunately the weather was a bit iffy but the greens were pretty good

Cracking day out in Arbroath

Really friendly meet with pro on arrival took time to make sure everything was good. Explained course currently being cored. The course itself was enjoyable no complaints. Overall really enjoyed another visit to Arbroath golf course.

Good layout and testing undulating greens.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course would have given 5 stars but greens although true were a little slow. Would definitely recommend and play it again

Fairway mats

I did not know until I arrived that mats were to be used from tees and fairways I would not expect this so late in march but I do understand the reasons for doing this . It did not spoil what was a enjoyable round of golf.

Excellent condition for the time of year

Very breezy day but we couldn’t fault the general condition of the course. Greens were excellent and although the course is still on the winter tees it was still excellent value for the money.
Pro shop were very helpful and informative as well.
Will definitely try to be back in the summer

Decent value

I paid £28 which I think is about right. The course is probably best played in the warmer months as the turf isn’t as good as nearby courses. The price is around £60 in summer but I think I’d be disappointed if I’d paid that to be honest. Monifieth is sometimes on a hot deal and that’s a way better course.

The par 3s are good at Arbroath so they were the highlight. Too many uninteresting par 4s for me though.

A friendly welcome in the pro shop to mention too.

Great greens

Played in torrential rain and high winds but still enjoyable, greens ran well, fairways a bit patchy but probably suffering after the dry summer, would play again.
