Give it a miss for

Worst condition ever, tees and greens were shocking and fairways not much better ! You would think it was being run down prior to closing . Don’t play until it’s sorted , never seen course like this ever .

Poor condition

Wasn’t expecting whistling straights for 3.5 stars on GolfNow but the condition of Rouken Glen was abysmal. Greens were shocking. Can honestly say we never played on a green that had grass on the whole surface, and some absolutely riddled with thick moss or just rock hard mud with massive cracks. Won’t be playing there again.

Terrible greens

Golf course wasn't to bad but the greens where terrible. Every green was badly burnt, obviously hadn't been watered all week when it had been roasting.

Great for high handicappers

Chap explained at start that greens were in a bad way and they were. Other than that it’s a nice wee course. You would be loathed to pay anymore than £15 based on green conditions. That said, fairways were in good condition. Yardage on card can only be used as a guide as they have white and yellow tees in same locations but different yardage on card.

Course was poor

Course condition was very poor, the greens looked as if they hadn’t been watered at all and we’re cut and fired by the looks of it. Went with my friend and we played 3 holes before walking off the course shocked at the fact it was even open.

Ok

Course was ok, the tees and greens were dry as a bone.
With this extra warm weather they needed extra watering but I don’t even think they were getting watered in general! Cracks everywhere and very bumpy.
Was starting to become ok course when David Loyd took over and put money into it but seems to have slipped back to being a very average public course.
Shame, great memories of here, fun wee course!

Big disappointment

The greens were in a terrible condition with weeds and moss growing in them and lots of bare patches.
It was difficult to find any grass on many of the tees although the fairways were in good condition and the ground staff were working on the greens.

I wouldn’t hurry back.

Greens need a water

Good course and good value for money, however the greens are in need of some repair, very dry with little grass and difficult to stop ball running over back of green

Enjoyable

Course has had a lot of work done since last year. Bunkers at long last have sand in them, unfortunately most of the greens were very bare and bumpy but you can see the green keeper is working hard on to bring them back. All in all for the price a very enjoyable course with some lovely holes.

Good course

Good course, greens a little patchy due to play catch up because on furlough until end of march. Got caught behind a 4 ball who took their time.
