I do love all the ducks. I just feel bad bc this course attract a lot of beginners, and I have literally seen a player whack a ball straight at one of the ducks who I definitely don’t they made it to see another day Photo submitted by Chupapi7 on 03/20/2023

Always A Nice Course... Could Be So Much Better If the Pace Picked Up....
Played in a Friday, high noon tee time. Showed up a few minutes early and the starters got me out early with a couple other singles. Starters were accommodating and friendly, as they usually are.
Course was in good shape. They were punching the fairways that day. Greens were in very good shape as they had been punched a few weeks prior. Overall though no complaints about the shape of the course.
There was a Marshall out and we saw him at least twice making his rounds. Nice guy and seemed like he was trying to do his job. If they could just accelerate the pace here, even just a little bit, this course would be so much more enjoyable. We played 18 in about 4:20. We waited over almost every shot though, for some reason 12 & 13 were wide open, besides that though, we waited on literally every non-putt type shot, for at least a couple minutes.
Still a fun round and I hope the above isn't viewed as a complaint, rather a suggestion. This is a really nice course, especially since the new owners took over a few years ago, and I look forward to playing here again. I also know it can be a fine line between being someone who enforces the basic rules in hopes of everyone having a better day, and just being a d--k about things.
I did not enjoy the restaurant on-site there, but one of the singles I got paired with had apparently eaten there, either that day or recently, and mentioned several times that day how good the food was there, which I've heard from others who have eaten there as well.
Why such a slow pace of play?
This is about the 4th time we have played Oso. We love the layout, conditions are good and staff are super
We cannot understand why it takes 4 plus hours to play an executive course played behind a foursome today and there was a hole completely opened in front of them most if the day
I know course attracts beginners. Maybe suggest that after you are two or three shots over par and your still not on the green on a par three, you pick up and head to next hole
Fees didn’t match
Used tee off to reserve tee time at 1:20 on a thurs.
When I went to pay was told the few for 2 was $102 not $78 as TeeOff said it was. I was very disappointed.
High School Tournaments
Ask if there is a High School Tournament being held before going out, because they are ssslowwww.
Shockingly slower pace of play then usual
2 hours 45 mins to play the front 9 was absolutely ridiculous. Oso is typically slow but this was insanity. 5.5 hours for 18. Course needs to do better
Great value and location
Like this course, challenging for anyone yet enjoyable for newer players.
Nice time. Nice people
This is a fun lay out. You can play the whole course with just 4-sw. greens are Super
Tee boxes are good. May have to roll the ball on par 4s
The restaurant/bar area is outstanding. Didn’t eat but looked at menu. Prices were in line with CA…
You will have a good time. Pace of play is reasonable for “Executive Course”. Lots of beginners and seniors as you would expect
Hidden Gem
Fun course with nice layout to challenge and practice your short game. A few fairways need some work but the greens are well maintained and kept in good condition. Course is already short so would have liked to see the back tees not pushed forward on a number of holes. I was told the city purchased the course a couple years ago and put some money into it and it shows. Nice amenities and the facilities look modernized.
Off day for everyone
I’m a little disappointed. Over 4 and a half hours to finish the round. We were waiting 10 minutes at each hole before tee off. Greens were recently or just punched and wasn’t told about it at any point before playing. Horrible condition green. Usually they are pretty good but this day was just bad. The rate of play was the worst I’ve ever seen it, didn’t see 1 Marshall during my game.
Fun
This is unexpected jewel. Really don’t need driver but a real challenge for every iron 3-lob. Greens roll true and hold shots. Tee boxes in good shape
Staff are very friendly and the restaurant and grill are great place to grab a drink and sit with view of the course
Fairways in dire need of attention and repair.
Finding grass to hit your ball off in the fairways is like playing “Where’s Waldo”!
Since Oso Creek is a GOLF COURSE it’s time to focus on the condition of the GOLF COURSE.
Enough with the amenities already.
Golfers don’t hit their fairway shots in the dinning areas or “Beer Garden!
Oso Creek
Friendly staff. Fast pace of play. Good greens condition
Great place
I love playing this course. Fun with a little bit of a challenge.
