Snowbird
I was expecting a long line of golfers at the first tee box as this course books 7 minute intervals but no. I was pleasantly surprised on how good the fairways were, the best next to Dunedin CC. The greens were also in great shape if anything were a little slow.
That's it...no complaints and I look forward to playing again soon.
Good course to play
Aside from the few holes adjacent to the sewage treatment plant (pee-ew!), the round was good. Lots of dog-legs, fairways were wide and in good shape, some tee boxes on par 3’s were pretty chewed up (didn’t seem to move tee markers onto grassier areas), greens were in immaculate condition, although very slow. The carts were gas powered - electric would have been more environmentally friendly. The course is directly under the airport flight path, so if very frequent jet engine roar from landing planes bothers you while you are swinging, it’s not the place for you. The ladies in the pro shop and snack bar were beyond nice and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Slow play and the smell was nauseating!!
Very slow play , we paid for 18 but only got 11 holes in because of slow play . There seems to be a waste treatment retention ponds next to the course and the smell was nauseating to say the least at times . All of the staff very friendly with exception to the lady in pro shop was somewhat unpleasant to deal with .
March 7th play
The course is fair and in okay condition. The greens were slow compared to some other courses I have played in the area. In all fairness, the course did experience off and on rain for 2 days before my play.
Great Value for $
Great greens and very comfortable carts. Lots of wildlife on the course.
You could do a lot worse for the same price.
Slow slow slow pace of play!!!
When you charge $46 to play at 3:30 and it takes over an hour to complete 3 holes, something is very wrong!!!! All these snowbirds definitely don’t make it worth going out and playing especially when you don’t give a resident rate!!
Furry greens
Good course for high handicappers…greens too long for a good to average golfer.
Course was in good condition, just the greens not a true putting experience.
Much Better!
Played here a few months ago and the fairways and greens were in the worst shape..
Decided to try it again and they turned it around 100%. Greens and fairways in very good shape, new carts also.
Greens condition
The golf course has an average layout in a dated community setting. Excellent greens made playing the course enjoyable.
Not worth it
Our day began with a starter with a bad attitude, bad condition tee boxes full of divets, horrible fairways and slow greens. Better courses to play for the money
Manatee GC
We played as a two-some and were paired up with another two-some of similar ability. A foursome ahead of us probably should have been on a less challenging course and created a bit of a waiting game but we did finish our round in four hours and fifteen minutes..
The course is in decent shape for a muni; greens are decent and fairways are pretty good. A good layout makes this a good challenge.
Remote but worth it
Although a bit out of the way (for me) it is worth the one hour drive. A little scratchy if you miss the fairways, but all in all fun to play.
Starter
Second time playing and it was a repeat. Starter or whatever he was did not do anything but ask for a tip. No indication on which carts to use. No help with bags. Starts the round with a weird vibe
Course was nice. Lots of water so hit it straight
Leap Year @ Manatee County
Course is in good shape, fairways and green are best in sometime. Pace of play was little slow but overall not a bad day on course. It is expected this time of year as Florida welcomes Spring Training and Spring Break. Come out and enjoy
