Fun Golf Course
I always love playing at Bartram. This place is always very well maintained and has great practice areas. The course is a little quirky with 5 par 3s and 5 par 5s. The ninth hole is the best hole on the course by far! Lots of mounds and dunes that slope down toward the greens, so it you miss the green on the side with he mounding, the ball will often get closer to the green and maybe even creep on. But beware, because if it gets caught up in the rough, you will have a downhill chip that will be very hard to stop and get close to the hole. I would say the the most difficult part of the course is the tee shots. If you are someone who doesn't hit it more than 240/250 off the tee, you will definitely want to play this course from the whites in order to have the most fun. Longer hitters that can push it out to around 260/280 will not find the black tees all too difficult.
Great Course! Fast Greens!
Bartram Trail is a beautiful and challenging course with lots to offer golfers at all levels. We will definitely be back.
Fun experience
I'm from out of state and looked for a place to play after the Masters. Found Bartram Trail on Golfnow, and I'm glad i did. Only got in 10 holes because I had to catch a flight and it got slow on the back, but front was really enjoyable. Good amount of room off the tee and some challenging shots into the greens, which are firm and fast. Was in a couple of bunkers and they were in very good condition. Only criticisms is that the 9th hole has a pretty big gully to fly over. Seemed a bit severe, as was the green. And though the 10th is short, there was a MIckey Mouse pin placement in the front where any putt missing the hole by a couple of feet would roll off the green. Horrible by the guy setting up the day. Otherwise, a great value.
Nice course. Super friendly staff
Pro shop personnel were amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Bar staff as well.
Fun day
Had not played here since Bartram disappeared from GolfNow. Glad course is again offering discount tee times. Course was very wet due to recent downpours which was understandable. Would love to play again on a dry day. Only odd thing was that even with all the rain, several of the greens were still firm. They were also kind of slow but with the rain they could not mow.
Bartram Trail First Time Playing
The course was in great condition and very challenging. I recommend you stop by for a swing if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.
New ownership sucks
Got new carts that were a complete downgrade with no gps or speaker. Staff was rude and pretentious and now they up the price by $20.
Average Conditions
We played Bartram Trail on the final day of a golf trip to the Augusta area. Twelve of us played on a very hot/humid day. The course was good – not great. Conditions reflect a lot of play. Several wet drainage areas in fairways and other areas very dry and thin. Lot of areas on edges of fairway are bare dirt. The greens were good. Good burger in the grill. Bring your ice with you because they are very stingy with theirs.
#1 public course in the area.
This course has it all. You won't be disappointed.
BTrail
Course is in great condition minus a few Tee Boxes. Greens were superb but they have a sign up for Aeration 6 June 22.
Nice Course, needs some work
Overall, Bartram Trail is okay. The greens were firm and fast and the fairways were in good shape. However, the tee boxes were pretty much a disaster area. On many of them there was no grass to be found. The cart paths were pretty bad in many areas. Some of the problem is due to encroaching tree roots, but even worse was the cart path/fairway junctions. Some were nearly impassable.
It was a pretty warm day, and we only saw the beverage cart once during the round. Also, the water coolers located on some of the tee areas were empty. When we checked in at the pro shop we were told that the course is under new management. I hope the new management gets these issues resolved, because Bartram Trail is a nice layout and has always been fun to play.
