Putting greens were as sandy as the sand traps
This really is a nice golf course but their putting greens were like straight sand. It was like walking on a beach. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Will be back and hoping the greens will be a bit nicer.
Price
I started playing here 4 years ago.
Twilight rate was $16.
Then $19 then $23 then $26 and it is now at $29
The only reason I still play there is my brother.
The greens always have some issues.
Paid full price where never told they airraided the greens
We were never told of airration paid full price fairways are like hitting off sement it took 7 hours to play a 5000 yard course because of people messing around in front of us then we called the club house and they said that’s not our problem you can figure it out your self then hung up on us.
Florida gem
We found this par 68 to be an interesting neighborhood course layout with lots of challenging holes and really nice putting greens! They work to keep the place in good condition for the most part. Great value for the price and tough enough to make us want to return.
Poor shape
Bad shape for the price. I don’t expect a great course for $50 but I do expect the greens to mostly green and the fairways to look different from the rough. Not a bad course when it’s in pretty good shape. It’s not now.
Short Course, Rough Greens
Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and got us a course book which was the immediate indication that the course is quite spread out. It’s woven into a residential area quite well but that’s probably what forces the course to be shorter than most you will find. We played from the Orange tees and out-drove the greens on a couple Par 4s. The fairways are in decent condition given the course has little shade, but the greens were quite bumpy and very slow. The breaks on the greens will affect your ball less than the sandy rough patches. We finished 18 holes in under 3 hours despite being behind a 3-some that was having their first time out for the year. For the money, you could pay $20 more and get much better courses in the area, but it’s not a bad deal if you want a quick round, close to home to work on the irons.
Bad greens
Used to play course often, but there prices are too much for course unless you get a deal, they have made some improvements to course, but greens were bad and not great to putt on, hopefully they will come back, would play again but only on a good deal
Very slow greens
Course in rough condition over all and needs a lot of Lioms. Tee boxes and fairways poor condition. Greens are the slowest I’ve played in years.
Do not waste your time
I really don’t like doing this. But please read the title. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or money for that matter. The pace of play was one of the worst I have experienced. I walked the course and still ran into traffic and multiple groups had to let me pass. So you go from waiting all the time to then felling rushed. Which didn’t matter cause there was another slow group ahead. The greens, tee boxes and track was just in really really bad conditions. I used to have a lot of fun here. But man forget about it. Never again
Old course in need of facelift
It’s such an active course with plenty of events year round. I honestly don’t know how the course is in such bad shape. Tees were sandy, grass was scarce, and the greens….sweet Jesus the greens were atrocious. No way to read putts because your ball is bouncing through craters.
Tired
Friendly people. The golf course is sort of tired, very little grass on the greens. It has definitely deteriorated since I last played here.
Greens were all top dressed and we had NO WARNING! Also had to play back nine first!
Casselberry
I like the course, used to play it often but they almost doubled the price to play, so will only play if a deal comes up.
Good hot dog
Front 9 layout is great for a short course. Back 9 not so much. Greens sanded back nine , fair front nine. Some tee boxes were pretty good. Fairways were starting to grow again. Would play again for hot deal
Like the layout of the course. Lots of water to make the round interesting. Staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were not aware the course had just been aerated - reason for low rating on condition.
fairways were being plugged-aerated.would not have booked if known before hand!
