Excellent course.
A good mornings golf. The fairways were pretty wet on the first few holes but after all the rain we've had it was expected. Once you started climbing conditions improved and the views from the too were amazing.
Visit from Neath.
Whole course was superb, particularly the greens. Lovely welcome by staff and members. Turned up on my own and was invited to play as a 4-ball by three other members. Big thank you to Dai, Paul and my playing partner Roger. Thank you for a very enjoyable day.
Colin Owen. Glynneath.
Value for 3
The course was empty. Millionaire golf
They are building a new 17th island green like sawgrass ,will be going back to give it a go when open .
Greens smooth quite fast good to put on .
A few blind shots so you need to play it once to get an idea of the lines .
Be warned its a very steep in places.
Nice club house too.
Windy and hills
First time playing this course and it’s a hidden gem.
As a golfer who doesn’t play regularly this was a challenge but very enjoyable. Be prepared for holes being effected by the wind!!
Penrhos in early April
Obviously a littler wet given the weather lately but course held up well in good condition. The first two holes are straight uphill then respite on 3rd before going up again. The course is well laid out with some interesting holes and sea views once you get on to the back nine.
My only criticism is that when we arrived at 10 there was no breakfast available as this is apparently only served to hotel guests until 10. There was a menu on the bar but this was for lunch/dinner food that didn’t seem appropriate. By the time we finished around 2 oddly there was another menu but this was brunch and light bites, which might have been better earlier on.
We had the course pretty much to ourselves, which was nice and no issues finding our way around.
Enjoyed the day and would recommend playing if in the area as it’s a really good set up. Looks like an island green might be coming for the 17th too, which is a severely downhill par 3.
A tough walk!
Plenty of hills so prepare yourself if walking. Nice course with some nice holes and some tight holes. Worth a play for £20.
Buggy required!
Tremendously fun Course to play - staff very helpful and friendly, and practice area’s in great condition.
The greens were immaculate
Superb views
A bit dissapointing
I played 18 holes today at penrhos park and through out the course it was filled with divots that were not replaced and pitch marks that were not repaired. Also there are blind tee shots from many holes also on the fairway. The first few holes are just rapidly uphill and once your on top it still up and down the hills. I would recommend hiring a buggey it will stop you from being out of breath on the your next shot. Also the course is 6,200 yards from the mens tee box but it plays like 6,800+. On the other hand the 17th hole is a lovely 160 yard hole with a huge drop towards the green. To finish of if you want to play there just make sure you hire a buggey to save you being exhausted and some gps of the hole so you can navigate the blind hole i struggled from
