You need to plot your way round this very well kept course with its very fair greens and tricky fairways, very good
Lovely course.
What a little jem of a course an uncut diamond worth a visit will challenge you and lovely welcome staff loved it .I would say best course on the North side.
Fantastic greens
Lovely course. Great layout and superb greens. Wind brings water and OB into play, course suitable for beginners and experienced golfers.
Course has good features
Played the course as a practice round for an AIG competition. Will be playing a free practice round in due course so great opportunity to view all the difficult water & reeds. Easy walking course & good fairways & good bunkers.
Lovely course
We played on Saturday afternoon and we almost had the course to ourselves so we could play at whatever pace we wanted.
The weather was good but with a couple of really heavy heavy showers. This didn't effect the course at it just soaked it up.
It was excellent value for money.
Great course
Good and fair forgiving golf course. What lets it down is the off course facilities, as in there are none. But the course is a nice and well kept.
Nice Course
Great course. Course was in great condition given the amount of rain recently
Great course
Great golf course, very deceiving looking out from the clubhouse house but it is a very challenging golf course with quite a bit of water to contend with.
What A Find !
Did a quick search online for tee times for a Friday morning. The search engine threw up Balcarrick, and while the price seemed very reasonable, I presumed the course would be sub-standard based solely on this fact. I looked up Youtube for course details and it looked great on the videos.
We played a three-ball on the Friday morning and the course was very quiet with nobody immediately behind us. The course was in immaculate condition. The fairways were perfectly dry under foot even after heavy rain the previous few days. The greens were on par with the best greens I've ever played on. They were in perfect condition...great credit to the green keepers and ground staff.
After a most enjoyable round we went to the clubhouse for some food. While the clubhouse was showing some signs of age, it was very well kept and the staff were friendly and produced some beautiful meals.
Will I be returning to this course.....absolutely....I consider it a fantastic find, and almost felt like not writing this review to keep it to myself, but I think this club should be given it's fair dues. Well done to all associated with this course...fantastic experience.
Golf
Great course. Super greens
Well maintained course
Course in beautiful condition , greens well maintained
Lovely course inland links
Great golf course to play, easy walking course. Only 13 holes open this time of year but these 5 should be opened soon. The 5 closed holes in my opinion are best holes on the course. Staff are amazingly friendly and are considering joining the club my self. Was going out to play alone and was asked by two members if I wanted to join up with them which has never happened to me and I have played a lot of lone golf in the past. Well worth the trip out to play here
