Value for $
Overall rated good to very good. Nice fast greens, well kept, very nice staff. Very good value for money...
Great greens but…
The greens were in great shape and the layout is fun. As for the rest of the course, fairways and rough were very thin. I get it’s a little early in the season, but the rates don’t reflect that. They are doing a lot of tree maintenance which is great but when they are chain sawing and wood chipping on the hole you are playing on and within 30 feet of you most would consider that very distracting, let alone poor etiquette. This was on 3 different holes. Pace of play was great and staff was friendly. If we hadn’t gotten the hot deals rate of $85, I would have been very disappointed with the course for $130+.
Good day. Not great.
The layout is good. I played the course 2 days in a row because of the ‘intrigue’. The greens are small
and fast. So after ‘missing’ by just a few feet, i learned to putt from the fringe (6 feet of fringe on all greens).
Great course, great location…
Course was in good shape…. My normal expectations on course conditions are about greens and grass on tees and fairways…. Greens here were in great shape… rolled very true…. Fairways and tee boxes were above average for this time of year…. Overall, great course and I would play again… but honestly not sure if it’s worth the $155 rate, although this could be the going rate for a decent course in the area.
Beautiful and Fast
We loved this course so much on the first day of our trip, that we canceled the course set for the 2nd and and returned to Enjoy Round 2.
Spring break
We always book tee times for our golf rounds at Indian Bayou.
I highly recommend this course.
If you’re looking for a golf challenge at a great course in Destin, consider Indian Bayou.
3/31/24 - worth it.
11:20 am tt. $138 including taxes for me, $75 for my junior son. Best course so far - greens fast, firm yet receptive. Challenging with some tight driving holes but fair layout. Check your yardage off the tee on doglegs. Cart GPS was crucial . Bunkers were nice. Played Shalimar before this and that was rough all around…. Bluewater Bay was a bit better, haven’t played the other higher priced courses in the area yet, but would recommend Indian Bayou.
Nice layout...does need a marshall to move slow play
