Good course, fast pace, warm up on the range, a well stocked shop and decent food after. All good thanks.

A very nice course in good condition too. We played in some wet conditions but the greens were fast and the ground firm. Nice driving range to warm up on too and a good, well stocked shop. I will be back

Really great course with driving range and good shop. Greens excellent and quick. Pace of play rather slow, 4 hours for a two ball is way too long and players ahead who frankly should not have been allowed on. Weather was lovely though and we weren’t in a rush so enjoyed it just would’ve liked to have kept the round down to less than 3.5 hours.

We ended up being late due to very heavy traffic but that wasn’t a problem they was more than helpful.

Have played numerous times before and really enjoyed the course. However, had booked to play and the traffic coming out of Chester was a nightmare with few road closures and morning rush hour meant I was going to be slightly late. I had tried phoning ahead to apologise and see if it was still ok but no answer and when I had arrived the guy at the shop was pretty rude, blunt and very unhelpful. Told me I have lost my money and probably no chance of getting it back, no chance of getting a round in that morning and then just turned around and left. Sad as really liked the course but doubt will go back after that.

A good test with excellent greens. The course is not hugely long with only one par 5 but is very enjoyable, lots of dog legs. The pace of play was great although we did play in 30 degree heat and on the Sunday of The Open Championship so maybe lots of people stayed away to watch the golf on tv. Course has a good shop and a driving range too.

Arrived on site, very good full breakfast before playing. Course was in fantastic condition, greens superb and rolled true with good speed. A few short holes, 1 par 5 and good par 3’s. Highly recommend a visit.

Got off to a very slow start first 2 holes waiting around after that pace of play was ok. Course condition very good especially the greens, payed a lot more else where and no where near as good as here. You need to be straight off the tee as it's quiet tight. A few undulating holes and gog legs. Overall very good value and exceeded expectations. Didn't get chance to sample the food or drink as it was closed after our round. The only thing would put me off returning and totally unrelated to the course, is the smell whilst playing, I can only assume it was a food factory near by, it wasn't there all the time but when it was, it was horrendous, we heard other golfers commenting on it too. Shame really, other than that I'd definitely recommend it.

We are average players and we found this course in excellent condition. The greens were in perfect condition and the variety of the holes were excellent. Not too challenging as to make it too difficult to play but each hole made you think how to play it. Overall a very enjoyable game of golf.

Great course, the greens are very good and held up very well under the rain we've had recently. Great value for money.

Autumn bank holiday weekend and the rough at Clays is like your local swimming pool. Not their fault but if like me.you cant hit straight, then you need a net !! Greens in great condition. Fun hit. Friendly welcome. Recommended.

The whole experience from the guy in the pro shop to the green staff on the course everyone was very helpful and courteous a great days golf . I would recommend anyone to play it there’s something for everyone regardless of ability you will all enjoy a round why pay £30 to £40 to play some courses when this is a lot cheaper and in better condition if we lived closer to Wrexham we would consider very strongly to join here

Perfect course for a beginner or someone getting back into the game.

Holes are generally open and wide for stray tee shots.
