Great Course but confusing layout with winter mats
Really enjoyed our time at West Mon course, the layout is a little confusing at times and not as well signposted as it could be but other than that - greens were in good condition and a cool feather in the cap to have played at the highest tee in Britain on the 14th.
Others players/members were really friendly
Links in the sky
Lovely golf course found at the end of a scraggy lane, which makes you think like you'd got the wrong road.
I was literally in the car park for 5 minutes when someone invited me to play with them. I ended up in a 4 ball with some lovely gents (oldest was 81).
I loved the course layout, the design and the amazing views. The fact that we'd just suffered from the wettest Februarys into march periods every, meant that there was standing water in a lot of places, but this did not take anything away from my enjoyment.
I'll be returning in the warmer months and I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more ❤️
Really enjoyed it
Great condition for January, greens were pretty good, course set up to allow you to play and not lose a ball. Very foggy the further up you went up.
Good value for money
First time playing here great layout for course a lot off blind holes definitely up in the hills a lot off sheep on course wind was up so made some long holes we enjoyed definitely play again 😊🏌🏿♂️
Inclement Weather, but fab course!
We set out to play in 35 mile an hour winds, with squally showers and sadly had to come in after 12 holes, as we were soaked to the skin (through our waterproofs) and visibility was poor.
The members were extremely welcoming and we were delighted with being given a voucher to return at some point in the future. An extremely generous gesture from the club... can’t wait to come back and have another go, preferably when the sun is shining!
Very nice course
Really enjoyed our round of golf despite the weather conditions which are beyond anyone’s control.
Found the greens to be in excellent condition running at a fair pace. I am not a great fan of blind shots and dog legs but my son whom I played with is so he was far happier.
Would definitely return when the sun is out and the wind isn’t blowing quite as hard. Living in Spain I generally only play in the sunshine.
One thing I would say about the course is that there were so many PLASTIC tees strewn all over the course. Given this is also grazing land perhaps the club should ban such tees. Even if it means upping the price and giving wooden tees to players.
Overall though we had a great time.
Thanks

Absolutely loved this course, go up there and play, it's fantastic & great value for £20.
Unhappy
I booked this course to play but when I arrived the course was closed, I had not been notified and had 2 days off work and booked a hotel, not happy at all.
Value for money
Been playing West mon now for a number of years and can't fault the course especially being the highest course in great Britain, as you can get all 4 seasons in one round, the course has been playable and kept in really good condition even through the bad weather we are having during the winter season, i would recommend anyone to join this cracking course.
Nice course
It was a nice course but the course needs some signs to let you know where to go next.. they are still using winter tees but that’s due to making new tee box’s . Since playing off winter tees you can’t play from the highest point of the course that’s the highest hole in the uk
