Greens superb
I have played this course many times and I find it fair and enjoyable. Weather leading up to the round extremely poor. Greens in great nick, fairways obviously struggling. New tee boxes added to the far end of the course which have been left and not finished since the summer.. This has really detracted from this part of the course. All in all the course was surprising good.
Tried something new!
Seen a good price for this course on GolfNow for £20. With the weather being sunny myself and a friend made the trip up. The course was immaculate. The run out from the tee shots helped loads. The greens were lightening quick.
Course is very hilly. I'd recommend a golf cart in hot temperatures.
Could do with a halfway house to restock on drinks. Once you leave the 1st tee, you dont return until the 17th.
Little Gem
After a couple of wet days I played this course on a week day during the school Easter holidays.
It was great to see some youngsters out on the course while having a course update with an older member in the club house.
Lovely little set up offering a fair amount of variety. A couple of holes need a bit of work and fairways weren’t in great condition.
On the flip side the greens were super quick given the state of weather👏🏼
Hidden Gem
If you get the chance then go play....!! Be aware ....80% of the time youll need to leave your Driver in the bag ..its a thinking mans course...just how they should be!!
definitely coming back here
having never been here before but knowing the topography of the area I was expecting a hilly course.
yes it has some ups and downs but in general it is easy walking.
the sign when we started out said "maintenance week" and we were told there were 2 temporary greens, but the greens seemed fine and the two temps were on short par 3's (11 and 12) that made little difference.
There is a lot to like here with tree lined fairways and well kept tees and greens given the hot summer we have had.
it is not a long course, there are not many long par 4's and only 1 par 5, but this made the course more playable with most holes reachable and achievable within my par.
the clubhouse facilities were good with adequate parking and a terrace overlooking the 18th green for a post match drink.
As Arnie said "I will be back" especially at £18 a round on golfpass.
Good quality course, very nice greens. Picturesque. However very difficult, most penal course I have played. Also the clubhouse was shut so had no scorecard and could get no drinks, snacks or balls. Members cut in front of us which slowed play right down. Will not return.
Lovely course, great value
We teed off at 1pm and had a lovely round. The course was quiet and in good condition. Friendly members at the bar. What more can you ask?
Value for Money
A fabulous well kept course which is brilliant for beginners and intermediate players. Staff are very helpful
Great members course.
Great members course - tight and not long favouring accurate play. Course condition we're good with very well paced greens in fantastic conditions .Cosy and friendly bar
New to Cardiff area
Narrow course layout on quite hilly terrain. Fairways were in good condition, greens were not quite as good, relatively slow and small.
