Amazing
One of the best, if not best courses I've ever played. Fairways and greeñs were immaculate bar the drainage areas on some holes.
Stunning views off the Wicklow coastline.
Unbelievable value.
Will definitely play here again.
Disappointing lack of communication
Arrived on a perfect day with my game in good shape for my standard ( 11 handicap ) . Handed the card to be told that 4 holes were closed but if we wanted to we could play an extra 4 to make up the full 18. What we weren't told was that none of the bunkers were in play and that several of the "open" holes had drainage channels dug and filled with sand and the grass on these fairways hadn't been mowed and was longer than the rough !!! Really only 9/10 holes were playable. We enjoyed what we could play but couldn't help feeling that the lack of comms was a wee bit deliberate as you're hardly going to abandon the round before you begin having travelled to play the course. After round drinks and food in the clubhouse was great quality and good value . I'm sure Blainroe is sublime when fully playable but please don't adopt the " Ryanair " attitude to your visitors because they won't be back and unfortunately will tell others too.
Very poor experience
No indication on either Golfnow or Blainroe as to what condition the course was in before booking.
Only 13 holes open , all bunkers out of play and greens not fully back after drilling and or sanding. I've played this course a number of times and was stunned to see the work in progress. We would not have booked and travelled the 35mins to play on it if we had the right information to hand. Previously on your booking platform such information was freely available , hard to understand how this would happen with regards to 2 major and one minor course adjustments.
Very well maintained
New bunkers for all holes. Looking good .Will enjoy playing here again soon.
Beautiful Blainroe
Really good course. They have completed some upgrade work on 4 holes which aren't perfect yet but will be soon but overall a beautiful course with stunning views in the back 9. Hard test but couldn't recommend highly enough. And staff in bar/restaurant couldn't be nicer and food was excellent.
9 holes closed
Was not able to play the course as there was 9 holes closed 2 on the front 9 and 7 on the back 9 was a disaster and a waste of a drive down
Excellent course views and people
Blainroe
The only fault I would give this course is I didn’t realise that it was all up hill for the first 7 holes which makes it difficult if you aren’t up for it I would recommend a buggy even tho it is relatively flat after the first 7 holes. Very picturesque and beautiful course.
Blainroe
Excellent course one of the best golf club lunches ever
Fabulous coastal parkland
Really well maintained course on the coast in Wicklow, beautiful surroundings and a pleasure to walk around. Really friendly staff and members. Highly recommend. The course holds up in all weather.
Love it
Amazing course since I first played it love n look forward to playing it again and again it’s testing ur game each time you play
I’m booked to play again soon can’t wait cheers Ernie
Nice course
We played in January and there had been a lot of rain so 5 holes were deemed unplayable..... Despite this we had a very enjoyable round and paid only half price which was an added bonus. Staff and other members were all very helpful and friendly. Would recommend anyone to play here and I look forward to coming back in spring or summer.
Great condition for time of year.. Very nice course.. Back 9 is fantastic
A gem in Wicklow
Played in mid November, course was in great condition, some very scenic holes that are on the coastline, tee boxes and greens were in good condition. Enjoyed the day on a reasonable length course with a few difficult par 3’s would definitely play there again
Absolutely stunning
One of the best courses I've ever played this course is absolutely stunning. Green immaculate bunkers perfect. And the views are amazing. Highly recommended
