Aguila Golf Course
About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Only writing this because I wish someone who went through this before me, wrote a review to caution others. We had an 8;18 T-time [which we pulled up to the T- box at 8;14] to see 3-foursomes lined up to hit. drove back to the clubhouse to see if we could go off on 10. the younger guy kinda looked around and said yea, go ahead. we played the back in an hour & 45. made our way over to 1 and saw 5-6 foursomes. Back to the clubhouse where the older of the 2 guys behind the counter says, ''we told you not to go off on 10'' Don't want to dignify that with an answer so, bottom line, they let the regulars ''squeeze in'' and jack up the T-times. no starters or rangers, so if you're a regular, you can jump the line. After some back & forth with even more nonsensical drivel on the days events from the guy behind the counter, patience maxed out, we left the 9 out there and walked away. Way to many other courses out there to bother with Aguila.
Slow play - lack of player assistant enforcing times
I played with 5 year regulars, who said never played this slow. It happens. But was inexcusable was the fact we called the pro shop to let them know of slow play, they were slow to respond. So ended up only getting 22 holes of golf in during regular time. Frustrated with poor player assistant.

Awesome place to play, beautiful course and friendly staff!!!
Nice course
Good rates, especially with a junior. Good condition really good layout. Good pace too
Great layout and greens
I love the South Mountains in the background! It helps make the course!
Great layout and greens
The background is excellent surrounding this course
Great Course - No Cart Girl?
As far s course conditions, fantastic. The par three greens are full of ball marks - but that is the golfers not the course management. Water, length, and sand make this quite challending. I walked but would recommend walking with other walkers - it is a little long but has cut throughts for most holes.
I'll be back. Get the city card!
Best City of PHX muni
Fun challenging layout, Nice scenery, Course conditions that rival much pricier Scottsdale courses. Carts even have nice modern GPS systems.
Course was in great shape, greens were fantastic and fairways were nice. Only downside is if you are a single player they will make share a cart with someone instead of you taking out your own cart. Pretty ridiculous that they don’t tell you when you are in the pro shop and then the starter tells you you have merge with a random.
Great Muni Course
Love playing here. Course seemed a little dry for all the rain we have had, but still in very good condition. Practice facilities for putting, chipping and driving range are great. Always willing to go back and play. Great price for golf in Arizona
