Aguila Nine Golf Course
About
The Par-3 Course at Aquila is a perfect complement to the original championship course at the facility. Although the nine-hole course is easier, it still has a unique and challenging design. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Phoenix, the golf course offers an affordable option for golfers to work on their short game. Numerous bunkers and native grass roughs add some interesting elements to the game. The serene desert landscape also provides majestic views of the Estrella Mountains and the downtown Phoenix skyline. The course has two teeing areas per hole as well as driving ranges and practice greens.

Double standards between male and female golfers
This course seems to have a double standard when it comes to women golfers. A friend and I played this course last weekend. We were paired up with 2 other, well experienced, female golfers for a 10am tee time. Before we got to the second hole the ranger came by and told us we had to "close the gap" and catch up to the foursome (all men) in front of us. Puzzled by the request, we complied but felt we were being rushed. Shortly after we tee'd off on the second hole another staff member came by and told us to "step it up". I felt insulted. All 4 of us have several years experience golfing. Never the less, we caught up to the group of men playing in front of us just to find ourselves having to wait on the group of 4 men playing in front of them. Not once did we see a ranger come by to ask either group of male golfers to "close the gap". I can't help but think if we were a group men, instead of women golfers we wouldn't have been treated as if we are inexperienced, first time golfers standing around sharing photo's of our kids and pets. Come on Aguila..."Wake Up". Women play just as well, if not, BETTER than men. Shame on you for stereotyping female golfers.
Post weekend maintenance
Course had a rough weekend. Tees and greens were in put shape.
Fun
Fun little part three. Good place to practice your iron game. As most parthrees the greens are dented from ball marks. So it’s not for the putting just for the fun.
Short and fun
I like that you can show up and wait to get on
Good for practicing short game
Great course to walk & play quickly
Get there early in the morning and enjoy your first 18 with little no one there, sweet that it is free replay, great course to practice your pitching wedge 9 iron and putter.
Other than the young guys behind us that apparently don’t know their yardages, almost hit us 6 times with their balls and apparently it’s against their religion to call fore, it was fun.
Annoying though to see folks not repairing their pitch marks.
Great iron practice
Quick practice nine. Better than hitting a large bucket of balls.
