New layout

Have played this course several times . For some reason they have changed the layout of the holes . Very confusing - much preferred the old layout . We seemed to cris cross fairways . Also the staff themselves didn't know where the new numbered holes were were .

This comment needed a response as it is unfairly written. The author should have checked what was going on before making such comments. For the month of November in 2016 it was decided to carry out a trial at a time when the course wasn't particularly busy and this was led by comments from members who wanted to give it a try. Only 2 holes were affected in the trial i,e, hole 16 became hole 5 and hole 17 became hole 6. Which would not be too difficult to comprehend. After the trial period and after consultation with members it was decided to revert back to the original layout. You obviously asked the wrong member of staff as there were numerous signs on display guiding players where to go.

Nice setting

Nice mature course with mature trees and good views. Course and greens were in good condition although the greens were a little on the slow side

our tee booked time was 12.10 we had to queue waiting to tee off but then we got held up unreal by not only two small juniors which I have to say were very good but it was the 4 ball in front of them in my opinion the times are two close together if your waiting to take your next shot it really puts you off your game walking and waiting around on the fairway

The gap between first tee offs is 10 minutes for fourballs and 8 minutes for threeballs in competitions. Fairly standard around the country. Have you heard of anything longer than 10 minutes? Did you ask to be let through? Sounds like you put up with it for the duration of your game and were unfortunate to be caught behind some slow players who may not have been as adept at the game as yourself. This happens on every course at some time or another. Reading between the lines, if you were held up initially, which was unfortunate, then the two juniors and yourselves started playing as soon as you could do and didn't wait the required 10 minutes to allow a gap to develop.
