Very well conditioned with a good mix of holes. Playable for all levels of players. Even the planes landing was enjoyable.

I experienced a friendly pro shop staff checking in. The practice range is good. They put bottled water in the on cart coolers. The course has green fairways and greens that roll true in a beautiful setting. I saw a flock of wild turkeys off the number 5 fairway. As others have noted the course is very close to the airport, but that didn't bother me at all. Since the course isn't in a housing subdivision most of the greens and tee boxes are close enough to facilitate walking. Only nitpick is the bunkers need some work. Overall this is a very good course. It's a great value at under $40. I look forward to playing it again.

Crosswinds is probably the best course in Savannah value-wise. The conditions are top 3 for public courses, and for the amount you pay its worth it to have smooth fairways and greens and somewhat manicured rough. The bunkers could be in better condition, recent rainfall had the sand packed hard and standing water in some bunkers. Overall though, a nice, challenging course.

This was my first time to play Crosswinds. A couple of guys in my group had played the course before so their course knowledge was helpful. The course is in decent condition for this time of year and the layout, in my opinion, is great. Plenty of challenges and some good looking holes from tee to green. Looking forward to my next round there.

Bunkers not raked; had so much moisture that they were like wet concrete; had to wipe my sand wedge immediately or it would have been like removing concrete

Greens were okay, but have seen them in better shape; lots of weeds

Fairways were dried out, but grassy and playable

Pace of play was atrocious; I don't get these local courses; no starter; no ranger; groups of one or two going off between groups of four; doesn't make any sense; we invited a player on the 2nd hole who was playing by himself

Oh, and the cooler (for bottled water) on the front nine was empty; the back nine cooler had about twenty bottles but no ice

We arrived looking for a sign that said Crosswinds but didn't see any and was wondering if maybe we had too much to drink last night!! Once in the pro shop, staff was very pleasant and informative. The course layout is very nice with no surprises or questions as to where TO hit the ball....vs where YOU hit the ball!! Greens were medium fast and putts rolled smooth and true.....vs courses where your putts bounced like a jack rabbit being chased for dinner!! The atmosphere was very relaxing and pace of play was acceptable to us - 4 hr 20 min - with little or no waiting from Hole to hole. If you want to go faster, Interstate 95 is conveniently less than 5 minutes from the course . Yes, I would recommend this course and consider the price paid as fair , for the product received. My name is not McArthur but " I shall return!"

Course is player friendly and has all aspects of hazards to navigate around. Greens were in very good condition and ran true. Crosswinds is the best kept public course in Savannah! I would tell anyone who wants to play a round in Savannah that this is the best course.

As far as price, you can travel 30 minutes to the Hilton Head area and play on excellent courses for less than any course in Savannah. I only wish that prices were more competitive in Savannahl

It is a great course and a fun layout. The pace of play was good, I'm a single who joined three others. It is a links style, so we felt the wind, but added to the challenge. It is on a path for incoming planes to near by airport, it was noisy at times, but not a bother. Course was in great shape and the greens were excellent.

Got a great deal (Hot) to play this course in Savannah. I had prepaid the round thru Golf Now so when I got to the pro shop it was a quick check in (key to the cart and direction to tee#1). It was cloudy and quiet on the course and started raining hard on hole 7. We waited and eventually drove our wet selves int the Club House. It poured hard for 45 minutes and then we decided to go back to 8 to resume our round. After 8 and 9 the skies opened up again and we decide to go home(2 inches of rain )

The course was in great shape for February, smooth greens, raked bunkers and good fairways. Forgiving off the tee and a nice variety of holes and tee boxes. I would recommend this course, great value. I am sure the back 9 is nice too!
