Not one of my favorites
First off I want to say, I recommend the course because of the elevation changes. Now as far as anything else the course is in terrible condition, the tees boxes and rough are covered in weeds and are all uneven. The fairways are the epitome of cow pastures with very little grass, every shot was a tight lie. The practice green gave no indication of how slow the greens would be. If you are looking for a course in FL with elevation changes this is one to try, other than that don't waste your time driving out of Orlando expecting a decent course. I must say it wasn't worth the price I paid, although I did not have any problems with the local players like some people have had. It is a shame because the layout is beautiful and worth playing at least once.
Perfect round
Course was in good shape. Greens were a lil off but for sure Worth the money!
Layout and value
Tree lined front nine with change of elevation makes for a challenging test. Back nine is flatter but includes carries over water. Overall conditions are in keeping with the value. It is a scenic, fun course with several very interesting holes.
Scenic
I like the layout and the value. Front nine is more difficult due to narrow fairways between trees but the course is scenic and fun.
Good course
This is a good course. It has a challenging layout. The greens were in good shape but some of the fairways could use some work.
Rough around the edges
The course is challenging as it is not your typical flat Florida course. That are some blind shots up and down hills. The greens are in great shape.
First two holes
The first two holes need a lot of work some tree trimming and some grass would be well appreciated outside of that Green are firm and great. I like to lay out.
wear a collared shirt???
Went to the course to play nine holes around 6pm. Course was empty. Inside there was a young guy, who said he cant let me on the course because im not wearing a COLLARED SHIRT? i explained that I was a teaching pro, managed a course and those kind of rules are archaic and insulting. The PGA players dont wear collared shirts regularly. I was wearing an athletic top with a crew neck, similar to what tiger woods generally plays in, a Nike
Men's Dri-fit Victory Blade Polo. Exasperated I luckily had a traditional expensive golf shirt with a collar in my car (from firestone golf course) and used it.
Course itself is a very good layout, but is not very well maintained.
Went back the next day and guys in the pro shop were shocked at the collared shirt demand and were very friendly.
great value for money!
I had a great day at green valley. the course was in decent shape, and the staff was super friendly. i would recommend it to my friends. great value for money!
Better back nine
Front nine was okay, fairway turf thin in many areas. Back nine Fairways were much better and the terrain more varied and interesting. Greens were good, although a little slow. Back nine makes the visit worthwhile
Nice course but current conditions not worth $60 greens fee.
Friendly staff. Most of the greens in decent shape though very inconsistent regarding speed. Most fairways were very patchy. Many bunkers felt like hardpan. I've played this course many many times over the years. I like the a lay-out. Conditions are slowly improving. Currently the condition of the course does NOT justify a $60 greens fee! I'll try again closer to summer.
Great Course/ needs some extra care
We liked the course and layout as well as location but it needs some work.
