Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne
About
Subtle but enticing, Crandon is a well-planned challenge built in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. In 1993, a redesign by von Hagge brought new greens and bunker configurations. Formerly known as "The Links at Key Biscayne" Crandon Park Golf Course is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami.
The course has the world's largest tee, seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay.
You can see crocodiles (they have three), numerous raccoons and Jurassic-sized iguanas darting across the course. The blue and tri-colored herons, white ibises, snowy egrets, pelicans and anhinga grace the fairway roughs and saltwater banks.
From the first hole - a dogleg par 5 that requires a drive over water and mangroves - to the last - another par 5 with water on both sides of the fairway - Crandon Park Golf Course has, in many ways, become Miami-Dade's signature public golf course.

Awful
We book a tee time at 10h but nobody said that there is a private competition before
We spend 5h35 to play 18 holes with the cart
It s not fair for the players who pay full fare
One of our friend was sick and golf now doesn't want to refund my money so just book your tee time before going to golf because you will never know what s happen

Problems with the staff
My husband an I love this course, and have come back to play it many time. It is a gorgeous course, quite challenging for us, with a fun layout.
The problem that we had this time was that there were very few people working, so it was a hastle to sign us in and the starter was no where to be found. When we finally met up with her, she was kind of aggressive and not at all helpful.
We still would repeat this course every time,
6 inches of rain
Course is great, Miami got 6" of rain the night before. Might have been nice to mention that at the check in. Small lakes in the fairways made a tough course ALOT tougher. Will definitely play again when it's dry.
Solid
Beautiful course and a challenging layout. The conditions were good and the staff friendly. Watch out for the raccoons on the 11th tee 😅.
Pretty Pricey
The course was absolutely beautiful. I got paired up with one other player. Course was wide open. Rental price around $90 on top of $200 greens fee was a bit pricey, but I am glad I made the trip.
Wildlife and nice viewd
This course has lots of raccoons, iguanas, lizards and seagulls. Beautiful views of the bay and city skyline of Miami. Not too far from Cuba either. Clubhouse has restrooms, but on course they have port-a-potty in case you have to go #2. The iguanas were scary so
I had to play fast. I started with 11 golf balls and found 3 on the course, One was a range ball. I lost 9 balls in water and only one in woods.
There are several fast food restaurants and a marina within 10 miles, so many food options if you get hungry. I really liked hole 18, I got to go home after playing that hole.
Great track !
The course was in excellent shape. The recent rain and course maintenance paid off. got to use their new golf carts, having arrived that same morning.
The only point was that the greens were a bit slow.
Miami golf experience
Way too expensive for a municipal golf course in only a fair condition. Rate for Dade county residents
need to be much less expensive. need golf carts with GPS. The money being charged the golf related accoutrements need to be much better.
Play elsewhere!
Our tee time was for 2:16 although we had to wait until nearly 3:00 to start. It was cart paths only due to rain the night before which didn’t help to move groups along. Sunset was at 6:15 so I figured we could play until 6:30 before running out of daylight. At 5:50 the club manager comes out in a golf cart screaming at us and everyone else out there to immediately pick up our balls and head back because the course “closes” at 5:45. Once I got back to the cart return there was a group of people similarly kicked off the course as livid as I was having been told nothing about this policy when checking in. What an awful experience! I’ve played countless rounds of golf over the last 35 years and have never heard of such a ridiculous policy nor been treated so poorly! The manager needs some serious counseling not to mention intensive training on how to treat customers. Either that or simply fired.
