Pace of play

I've played golf hundreds of times, if not over a thousand and I've never played so slow in my life. We teed off at 1:30 and quit at 5 hours (6:30) on the 16th tee. Wasn't worth it!

Great mountain views, tough course for me

I'm a hacker who shoots about 100. There are dozens of bunkers on this course, and I am a poor sand player. I went in 2 or 3 because of terrible shots, and another 2 or 3 times was a bit unlucky. There are a few blind tee shots that are tricky the first time around the course. Multiple greens have traps on 3 sides, which is tough for a hacker. Most of my tee shots were decent but I picked the wrong day to struggle with the irons and approach shots. Next time I play it, I'll take one LESS club on my approach shots, play short of the green, and try to get up and down from the fairway in front of the green instead of risking the green side traps. Greens were in very good condition but I had a hard time with the speed, and several holes were cut right on a ridge that made it hard to lag close.
One last thing--we drove over from Palm Springs and it was 15 degrees cooler in Beaumont! That surprised me, so be prepared for wind and the temps on the course.

Everything, but the bunkers

The bunkers are horrible, no sand whatsoever. The rest of the course was in very good shape. Greens were super-fast and held for the most part. I had five shots outta the bunkers that cost me 9.

Champs a bit soggy

Courses in nice shape but legends has bridge out on #8 that limits play. Lots of golfers expect slow play

No course management

Man, this was my absolute worst golfing experience to date. It’s a shame because it’s a great course, and I understand legends is getting work done, but they out absolutely no effort into maintaining the pace of play on Champions. My group was a few groups behind a 6 some and even after calling the pro shop, they did nothing to break them up of move them along.

3 HOURS FOR THE FRONT NINE!!!! Ended up skipping several holes just to find a little space to play. Started at 12:30 and didn’t even really finish before dark.

No only that but they had basically had everything closed down at 3pm when we finally made the turn. This really should be a great course but I can’t imagine going back any time soon when they don’t have anyone managing the course. Major shame.

Good Layout. Greens could be better fairways were OK

The Starter, Jeff, was a highlight. Great personality gets you in a good space to start you round. Overall not bad the greens could be better but the cold wind and rain showers did not help. I would play again in nicer weather.

Cheap and worth it

The course layout is pretty nice, but the conditions could be better. There is no one meeting you at the start, no starter nobody other than someone to assign a cart to you. Pace of play was very slow bunkers are without sand. However, the rate is very good for a practice type of round.

6 Holes for $25.00 👎

Arrived at course with my three guests. Only 6 holes for $25.00 was bad marketing. Would not allow options such as playing the finishing 3 holes again or anything to allow for nine holes. No one was on the course so no conflicts would be of issue. I did see a 6 icon on the website but not sure what it meant. My Bad..! 6 holes was just not worth the $ on this rained out course!👎 been golfing for 50 years and have never seen this type of…👎 and I’m a happy golfer too! :-)

Great course, but cold and windy

Played Tukwet Canyon Champions on Sunday. Pace was great, finished in under 4 hours on a Sunday! But the threat of bad weather scared away most golfers.

Course is in great shape and I love the layout. But it was cold (49 degrees) and windy! Normally the morning rounds are pretty still here, but as the storm clouds were rolling in it got ferocious. The balls were literally blowing off the green.

Nice round of golf

Challenging course for us as we are average occasional players. Only real complaint is hard packed and rocky sand traps, and “smart”golf carts with a mind of their own.

Challenging course w/many bunkers

Challenging course w/many bunkers-keep sandwedge handy. Groundskeepers hadn’t cleaned up well after last rain storm and flooding. Fairways and greens okay, but rough and cart path could use some attention.
