Great value
With the golf now app, I played this course for $25 on a weekend before noon with cart. I have played this course many times in the past, and I have never had a round go over four hours.this is a city, municipal course, but they keep the course in great shape. The fairways were a little spotty and the greens were cut short when I played, or I would have given 5 stars. The course plays toughest, when there is a strong wind from the east. That wind will make some of the holes much easier like the shirt par 4 20th and some of the holes much harder, especially the long par 5 on the back 9. The only real hazard, is when you hit it into the palm trees which line the sides of the fairways. So keep it in the fairway and it makes this course much easier. The staff is always friendly, and the 19th hole well-stocked.I took my brother-in-law, who is new to golf and he only lost one golf ball during his whole round. He did keep his ball in the fairway though. If you're expecting or want a country club experience, this course is not for you. If you want to go and play and enjoyable round of golf though you should check out this hidden gem.
Typical muni
Course played okay, but tough greens , brown and hard to read. Patches in fairways difficult to get clean hit.Unfortuneatly, winter prices in effect, so a little high for course.
Mallards Landing
I had not played this course since they finished installing their new greens, but after I played a round I will definitely be going back. GolfNow provided an under 20 $ tee time day of, so I had to get out there. Course is kind of tight, lots of trees but definitely a playable and fun course for golfers of all skill levels. Staff was great. As I'm covered in tattoos ,not many golf establishments love me walking into the clubhouse but these guys were more than welcoming! Great round, will return!
good course
I played this course several times and I like this course. It is in great shape. The greens are in very good shape and the fair ways too. Only the teebox are not in great shape. They miss grass sometime. I will return there soon.
Tall palm trees and water..
I got showered with rain, but played through,
The course was clear from high grass,
which keep you from loosing balls..
Course Conditions Getting w Worse
Course Conditions are getting worse. Greens are not well kept, crab grass all over the fairways.
This is a very nice course!!
Course was is very good condition for this time of year. Greens were very nice. If you are a beginner you may have some difficulty. I play and live around some very nice golf courses,. I have played every course in Brevard, and have a 14 handicap. I've played golf before. If you want perfect manacured greens, patio dining and all the "fluff" then go to an upscale country club. If you are looking to play on a well kept course that gives you some challenges for a more than reasonable fee, this is it! 18 holes with cart and some range balls for $16. I'll be back!!
good course for beginners
I took my wife here because she's a beginner. We played with two other guys and they were great. We all had a great time.
Course could use a little work.
Overall a pleasant day on the course. Some of the tee boxes were rough. It looked like they were aerated recently which made it difficult to find a spot to insert my tee. Relatively easy course layout. With all its quirks, I wouldn't mind playing there again.
This course is fun to play!
Starting with the first, the course sets up to test your mental fortitude. Stay out of the trees as they don't like to give your ball back! The green are not great as the Sandhill Cranes and other wildlife abuse the course looking for a meal of bugs~ lots of wildlife on the course so enjoy your afternoon on the course. There is water and trees that could test your game but if you play this course well, you will have hit a lot of fairways! The staff are very friendly and willing to serve with a smile, and on the turn make sure you get one of their Burgers! Really good burgers and cold beer! Have fun and maybe I will see ya out there!
Mallard Landing GC
The course is in fair condition. Greens are coming back, fairways not bad, tee box on all holes in bad to fair condition.
For the money that GolfNow offered, this was a bargin to play.
Had fun.....just wish the course was in a little better condition. But knowing this is a City owned property, funds are short for improvment.
Playing conditions
It would have been better had the Pro Shop informed me that league play was going on and it would be very slow play. Unfortunately, I had to replay the front nine to get 18 holes in my round. Secondly, they could have informed me that the tee boxes were being plugged and dragged as I was playing my round. Would I go back? Yes, will I asked different questions the next time? Yes
decent course
This is a decent course if you are with friends or trying to work on your game. Fairways were in good shape but greens were below average.
good time
This course is pretty "friendly'. however, like any golf course, stay out of trouble and you will do well. Several long par 4's to challange your ability.
It'll do.
Pretty run-of-the-mill municipal course. Greens are a little spotty, some much more than others.
The course doesn't take up all that much land, so it gets a little tight in some places, especially on the front 9.
I find 11 to be the most interesting, a long par 4 that sweeps to the right. 18 ain't bad either, daring you to cut the corner over the water, and laughing at you when you make the mistake of trying.
Worst Course I've Ever Played
This was the worst golf course I've ever played. The greens were atrocious and I would be embarrassed to charge people to play here. Also, there was no roaming beverage cart which would be fin of there was drinking water available on the course (with the exception of two holes; one being 17 when the round is almost complete). I definitely will not be playing this course again nor will I recommend it to not even my worst enemy.
has potential But needs lots of work
The course has the ground work to be a good. The greens are in terrible shape and Weeds have taken over but with the right people could be a great course
Rain at the Turn!
Mallard's Landing is flat and pretty wide open. Sand is the main hazard, but is reasonably placed. Water comes into play on several holes, especially in front of a few greens. The fairways are in good shape, but many of the greens suffer from bare spots and crabgrass. We encountered a thunderstorm right after we completed 9 holes, but this is Florida in the summertime! After about 30 minutes, we were able to start on the back nine, and completed it with no further delays.
