Amazing Greens!
Course was in great shape, bunkers and greens were amazing.
Hill Country Gem in Spicewood
Brought my clubs to Austin while visiting friends On Lake Travis in Spicewood. Lake cliff had good reviews, and the course did not disappoint. Very helpful pro on-site, the course was in excellent shape, and the greens fast. A lot of roll on drives due to dry conditions, same on approach to greens. Hard to back the ball up on these, or get a hard check. Great course challenges your shot making abilities, but you can score low if you are on your game. Great value, pretty course, lots of fun.
Found this .course from a Golfnow review. I would play it again in a heartbeat. Staff was professional and friendly. Course in great shape and the greens were super. Bent grass greens which I suspect is not normal for Texas. A little difficult to find but all good in the end. Play this course
Hill country golf
Found Lakecliff on GolfNow. Kind of hard to find. My gps got confused in the rural hill country but once I found it had a great time. Course originally intended to be private but now semi-private. Arnold Palmer design. This place has some great par 3’s. Greens are very good. Quick. Starting to see some condition issues, ball marks not repaired etc., that is probably due to public play. All in all a great experience. Highly recommend.
Hidden gem with the best greens
Staff were very friendly and we teed off at 845 for a 3 hour round. Terrific
Interesting layout great conditions
Course was in great shape the layout was fun and interesting the price was steep but I’d pay it again for the level the course was
Great track!
Great time and not a lot of crowds. Nice practice area and played single. Finished in 2.5 hours. Definitely recommend it.
fun course
lake cliff is a very fun course to play , challenging but not too demanding , the bentgrass greens are great to putt on considering they are pretty rare in texas , the staff was very friendly and helpful , range and chipping green were first class , great place to play
par4holeout, thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Lakecliff Country Club.
Worth the drive
Great track, amazing conditions...only got to play 10 bc of lighting so I’m def coming back. Just incredible views out in the country.
Hidden Gem!
Played Lakecliff for the first time and it will definitely won't be the last. It's a little out of the way, but well worth the effort. While not inexpensive, I found that the course earns it's premium fee with amazingly smooth and fast greens (bentgrass) and lush fairways and beautiful views. The bunkers were the only disappointment and even they were not that bad considering the amount of rain received in the last couple of weeks.
Overall, I'm somewhat shocked I'd never heard of such a nice course. I play all over the central Texas area and wish I had known about Lakecliff long ago!
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round, kjunman! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Lakecliff Country Club.
