Very good back nine
The front nine is good at worst, but the back nine is a fun time. Very good value, worth the trip, easy to get on. Try it !
No water on the course
I witnessed a man emptying the trash and asked if he was filling up the water coolers with water and he said no. I figured that was enough to get water but it wasn't. It should be illegal for golf courses to not have water on the course. It's not rocket science.
Closing Soon - Go Play Now!
Sugar Creek is scheduled to close on 3/25/2013. Play now to experience the challenge laid out by PGA Professional Mark Hayes. Play the full 6890 yards from blue tees. Holes 14-15-17 are especially "fun".
Great layout, very unique Oklahoma geography.
SCC was in fantastic shape when I played. I highly recommend making the journey west of OKC to play a round. Of all the courses I've played around OK, this course is one of the top 5 representations of Oklahoma golf.
As an aside, the grill makes excellent burgers. Make a tee time around lunch and indulge.
Greens in great condition
Back nine is especially challenging with a long par four and a drive and iron shot required over canyons.
Good course. Even in the winter.
Greens are fast. Fairways are in great shape. Front nine is fairly easy. Difficult back nine, You are either on or gone. Restaurant has good food and fast service. Pro shop is well stocked. Everything is clean and in ship shape. Course is far from the city but still gets lots of play. Everyone should play it at least once.
This course has plenty of challenging unique holes.
The front nine is more open than the back nine in the canyon. This makes for a fun round of golf. This staff is wonderful. And the food at the grill is excellent.
Course is a great challenge for all levels of skills.
I play this course often just because of the challenge and great price.
