Coyote Springs Golf Club
About
Coyote Springs Golf Club (previously known as Coyote Springs - The Chase Course) is located less than one hour from the Las Vegas Strip and just 45 minutes from Mesquite, Nevada. This Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is highly regarded as a must-play by Vegas golf aficionados. The course's stunning setting is sometimes referred to as "nature's cradle" since it's situated in a verdant valley completely surrounded by majestic mountains and peaks. While the scenery may be beautiful, don't let it distract you from the golf course's many challenges. Water and bunkers await you at almost every turn. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, whose bunkers at the second landing area will force you to think carefully about how to approach the Augusta-like green. In addition to the golf course, Coyote Springs offers one of the largest practice facilities in the country. This 19-acre facility includes 13 target greens and a short game area for pitching, chipping, and bunker practice.

Nice, but it's time has passed.
I wanted to like this course. A lot. I really did.
But all I can say is that, it's okay. For the drive from Las Vegas, I'd rather go up to Wolf Creek or Pauite. The staff is very friendly. The pace of play fantastic. But, the heat and lack of water is killing the course. Many greens severely patched. They hadn't rolled the greens or cut them when I played, a Saturday, so they were VERY slow and bumpy. The fairways were struggling to stay green. Layout and design were fantastic.
The clubhouse is a series of mobile trailers. Practice facility is good. The practice green was under repair when I played.
I heard that they are going to try to move forward with permitting for the home complex and other course, again. That will sink the existing course and kill it when the economy hits its next recession.
As I said, I really wanted to like it because I heard good things about it.
A Real Jewel
Played Coyote Springs for the second time. A real jewel in the desert. In the middle of nowhere but worth finding. Jack Nicklaus at his best. Loved the course. Bring your big boy pants! Water and sand everywhere. First ones out and paid less than the $190 they charge at 8:00 AM. Had a new guy with us and he loved the course (we all did). If you are in Vegas or Mesquite a must play.
Tough fun track
Played here on March 28 , 1 st time since @ 10 years ago. A great test of golf in the very windy conditions. Course is in great shape all around!
Great staff.! Worth the drive
Great B-Day Day
Took the boy out for his B-Day. Really enjoyed this course.
Off The Beaten Path - Worth the Drive!
Had a great round playing this beautiful Troon course in our first golf outing of the season! Challenging and pretty!! Will play again when in the area!!
Greens need care
Can not I stop the ball on the green very difficult to play with the green condition. Glass top greens not forgiving.
Insane pin placements
Played in twice in 5 days. Beautiful , tough, and well maintained course in the middle of nowhere. The greens are perplexing and some pin placements were next to impossible. Bunkers were well filled and soft.
Great course, windy day
Played in a gale, making a hard course almost impossible. Some pins were unnecessarily punitive and took a bit of the shine off an otherwise fantastic golf course.
Nice Break from the Strip
You have to work a little to get to this course, but it's a great desert layout with all the signature features of a Nicklaus design. The course was in very good, but not quite excellent shape. Speed of play was excellent and made the trip out less of an issue.
Golf with my Sons
Been wanting to play this course for a while. Got an excellent deal with Tee Off. Worth the drive from the strip. Course was in great shape. I had difficulty reading the greens, but that’s on me. Gotta keep it below the hole. My only complaint is bunker maintenance from players. For some reason, no one seems to rake after they play their shot. Especially those with spikeless shoes. Other than that, great day with my Sons. Will be back!! Kudos to the entire staff!!
Worth the drive
Outstanding course layout and shape. Greens are super challenging
Water features great. Fairways great
Staff are down home great
Carts are B- but who cares
Going back Monday
